Brav Responsibility Report 2023
2023 has been a challenging year for Brav as well as for the entire industry. As a consequence of COVID-19, the disruption of the supply chain coupled with increased inflation, led to the accumulation of significant stock across the entire industry, thereby slowing down business operations. Consequently, we had to focus on financial stability as our priority.
We are all the more proud that our brands (Swix, Lundhags - Mad about Nature since 1932, Ulvang, TOKO Wax & Care, Helsport and Skisporet.no) have never lost sight of their sustainability ambitions. Lundhags increased their production of unique versions of their iconic shell boot, only made out of leftover materials from their production in Järpen in Sweden and Portugal. And Swix continued its ambition to make the entire sport fluoro-free by launching the “Perfectly prepared to stay fluoro-free” campaign - to just name a few of the campaigns.
At the same time, it is important to put our significant decrease in GHG emissions of 44% into perspective. Although we continued to work on e.g. switching to lower-impact materials for our products, the real reason for the decline was the fact that we purchased over 60% less in products compared to 2022.
