WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO LEAD WITH HEART ❤️ ? This was the premise I collaborated on for a conference of 150 leaders in Germany last week. In the session we explored the tension between: WINNING- drive for results, hit the numbers, beat the competition, be bold and courageous. AND CARING- Caring for the people you lead, being empathetic, compassionate and even loving at times. It was an emotive and insightful session. We spoke about how to truly care, you also need to be CANDID at times. We explored if you want to demonstrate sustainable care for your people, It has to start with SELF-CARE. We recognised in the VUCA world we are all operating in, it is important to have self-awarenes other awareness and awareness of the context you are operating in. We also looked at the science of the HEART and did a live biofeedback session to demonstrate what happens to our physiology when our Hearts are Coherent, the foundations of Performance and Flow. One of my most purposeful and impactful sessions to date and I wholeheartedly believe in the power of all our hearts to help us navigate through these uncertain times.
