When it comes to your parents' care, its important to gather information over time and have ongoing conversations. Don't make conclusions based on a single event or observation - talk it out. Open a respectful dialogue with your parents and focus on what they need. Their input is crucial in finding a balance between their preferences and what's best for their well-being. While compromise may be necessary for a safe environment involving them in the decision-making process ensures they feel heard and respected. If they don't recognise the need for care, offer examples to support your case while showing empathy. #homeinsteaduk #homeinsteadsouthcheshire #careconversations #familysupport #nantwich #crewe #shavington #sandbach #alsager #cheshire

If you found yourself alone or in need, do you know who you would turn to? It’s a tough question, and one that doesn’t necessarily have a straightforward answer. You might pick different people for different moments. At Family Rights Group we support young people by working with children’s services and local authorities help them create Lifelong Links with people in their lives who they trust and want to stay in contact with. This comprehensive Lifelong Links explainer guide from Hertfordshire County Council sets out the steps that are followed to establish Lifelong Links, including how to self-refer, how goals are set and what our coordinators do to make everything run as smoothly as possible.

We have enough know-how and resources to ensure every child grows up safe, loved and nurtured. This ten-year-old make more sense from a policy & science point of view than some senior policy makers
This #KinshipCareWeek is a time to recognise the importance of kinship care. In #TheBigAmbition a girl, 10, living with other family/kinship carers said: “Everyone should have a safe place to live. They want somebody to love them & treat them well like their family.” #100Voices
