🎉 Save the Date: Sept 21, 2024! 🎉 🌟 Join Us for the 2nd Annual Cornhole for a Cause! 🌟 🔹 When: Sept 21, 2024 🔹 What: Fun cornhole tournament benefiting Kids Mobility Network. 🔹 Why: Help children with disabilities get essential medical equipment. Children with physical disabilities face unique challenges. They often require durable medical equipment (DME) like wheelchairs and walkers. However, as they grow, their needs evolve, and the cost of replacing outgrown equipment becomes a significant burden for their families. This is where Kids Mobility Network comes in. As a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, they provide a lifeline for these families. They collect outgrown DME, refurbish it, and match it to children who need it most. Through their efforts, they ensure that every child has access to the equipment they need to thrive and participate fully in their community. 🔹 How: Attend, sponsor, and spread the word! Together, let's play for a purpose and make a difference in the lives of children in need! 🌟

Central Bucks MobilePack Let’s do a quick walk down memory lane: 1. Central Bucks MobilePack had its beginnings in 2013. 2. Since 2013, we have packed 6,563,160 meals! 3. Since 2013, we’ve appreciated the support of 23,515 community volunteers! 3. Since 2013, we’ve raised approximately $1,663,290! Our community pays for the meals so the efforts of frontline NGO’s and missions, doing the hard work in the field, don’t incur that financial burden. 4. THE BIG AND BEST NUMBER: 17,981 kids have gotten a hot meal/day for an entire year! The need remains staggering and sadly steady. 6,200 kids die every day from starvation and malnutrition. EVERY DAY! Our effort makes a difference and provides HOPE for people all over the world. The food we’ve packed over the last 10 years has gone to 23 countries on 4 continents to people in their most desperate hour. And it’s all possible because you've cared enough to offer two hours of your time, have some fun and pack some meals. We hope you’ll join us again May 16-20 at beautiful Delaware Valley University in Doylestown. Registration to volunteer opens in early April. Your presence and your financial support means everything to us. The link below will enable you to support this event directly. With a goal of 1,000,000+ meals, we hope to raise $291,000 for this event. The attached picture is tough to see, but we need you to know what’s at stake and how real and urgent the need is in the world. We hope you’ll help us! https://lnkd.in/epuZXQnq

The quote below is from the Edmonton Chamber of Voluntary Organizations' report, Reimagining Non-Profit Governance through a Social Justice Lens" They invite us to consider a subtle yet powerful shift from 'How can we add diverse representation to our white, middle-class centric structures?', to 'What if our communities were the heart and soul of our system?' I think (re)-centring communities in governance holds a lot of promise for bridging the equity gap between not-for-profits visions and reality. Isn’t it time we rethink how we structure our organizations for the better?

🌡️ Join a community of leaders on the journey to $3.5 Million! With $1 million already raised, we’re well on our way to making a lasting impact in our community. Join a community of leaders who are helping create a brighter future for everyone. It takes all of us and no amount is too small. Every dollar invested makes a significant impact. 📚Investing $80 per month offers a child in grade two or three the opportunity to attend a two-week summer camp where they are taught that learning can be fun, increase their literacy levels, and catch up with their peers so that they have a much higher chance of graduating high school. 🙂For under $2 a day, ten youth receive much-needed guidance and emotional care, improving educational engagement and employment readiness. 🖍️$67 a year provides a child with a safe place to learn, grow and prepare to positively contribute to their community as they grow up. 🥪$5 provides a meal to someone who is hungry. 🚌$3 provides a bus pass for a senior needing transportation to medical appointments or the grocery store. No amount of support is too small. What seem like simple things, like volunteering an hour to read to a summer student or donating a few dollars per month, when combined with your friends and colleagues, makes a significant difference for hundreds of people, many of them women, children, and youth. Donate today ❤️ https://lnkd.in/gEFus_9y

As the saying goes, "Change is inevitable. Growth is optional." Community Connections is currently undergoing some substantial changes, growing into two separate non-profit organizations. Through these changes, we aim to have increased capacity and be better equipped to serve individuals with disabilities in Southwest Colorado.
