Congratulations to Tom Hayes on his retirement as Community Relations Director at New Jersey Natural Gas (NJNG)! A luncheon earlier this week brought together area nonprofits and NJNG colleagues to celebrate Tom and the company's philanthropy across the community. CPC has appreciated the support of Tom and NJNG over the years, and we wish Tom all the best as he begins his next chapter! 💙💚 A warm welcome to Carolyn Cannon, who will now lead NJNG’s community relations efforts. The Housing Partnership Network is an award-winning nonprofit collaborative of 100+ of the nation's leading affordable housing and community development organizations. With the help of CDFI Friendly Tulsa, HPN selected Tulsa due to the City's focus on affordable housing. The Anne & Henry Zarrow Foundation also provided nearly $1 million in grant money to help launch this initiative.

It was an honor to contribute to Hispanics in Philanthropy and CFLeads latest report alongside the Hispanic Impact Fund's Chair, Carla Molina, where we explored the critical role community foundations and funders play in engaging and supporting Latino communities. Now, more than ever, it’s essential for funders to go beyond traditional grantmaking by actively listening, learning, and truly walking alongside Latino stakeholders. Connecting meaningfully with our Latino community allows us to better understand not only the nuanced challenges, but also the unique strengths and aspirations we hold, driving us toward more inclusive, impactful change. By building trust and nurturing authentic relationships, we can move from intention to action, creating sustainable solutions that uplift and empower. Let’s continue this important work and invest in the future of Latino communities—through partnership, empathy, and shared purpose. In partnership with CFLeads, Hispanics in Philanthropy published a guide for community foundations to better connect, engage, and support their local Latine communities. We're proud to share that our Senior Manager of Community Impact, Adiee Gonzales, and Hispanic Impact Fund Steering Committee Chair, Carla Molina, were able to contribute to this important resource. What a great organization helping another great organization
St. Claire HealthCare is pleased to support local organizations with similar missions. On Monday, SCH President/CEO Donald H. Lloyd, II, and Mindy Highley, SCH Executive Director of Community Engagement and Philanthropy presented a $50,000 check to Bev Gilliam, Director of the Rowan County Christian Social Services to allow that organization to better address community needs. “St. Claire is honored to help organizations who share a vision of bettering the lives of the people of eastern Kentucky,” said Lloyd. “There is a tremendous need for the services provided by Christian Social Services in Rowan County and they are making a difference in our community every single day.”

Yea it’s a five minute video, who watches those anymore! However, if you followed us over the course of Serve Week 2024 (The Ocho) this is an awesome wrap up and great work by the team. We try and use LinkedIn to open a window into our culture. And while Foundry Commercial isn’t perfect and we will always have work to do in pursuit of our standards, I think this is one of the things we get really right. We are a services company and spending time with these amazing organizations, which we encourage you to check out and support, reminds us what true service looks like. It is a week where we try to give back and we always end up getting so much more than we give. Great job Lauren and the entire Serve Week support team. #foundrycommercial #itspersonal #theocho #serveweek2024
