Engagement skyrockets when participants are actively involved in the learning process. Instead of just lecturing, I incorporate case studies, role-playing, and real-time problem-solving exercises. >>>This keeps doctors and nurses invested and turns theoretical knowledge into practical skills.

The most recent criticism I'm hearing of NEMSAC's proposal for Paramedic Practitioners is, to paraphrase, "this is putting the cart before the horse, because we really should be focusing on Associate's degrees first." In a 2016 Advisory, NEMSAC recommended that "...the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration should consider the development of a strategic plan for the creation of additional tiers of paramedic education to yield a formal degree that include the associate, baccalaureate, and various graduate degree levels.": https://lnkd.in/e-HDqcVJ Two years earlier, NEMSAC pointed out the high levels of public interest in establishing Associate's degrees as the minimum educational requirement for Paramedics: https://lnkd.in/exBgRFxT In 2021, NEMSAC wrote, "The Preparedness and Education Committee...believes in the need to create a career pathway to formalize paramedic education nationwide and to affirm this profession’s role within the overall healthcare system through a transition plan that includes a conduit to an associate degree as an additional entry-level for paramedics into the profession, by year the 2025." https://lnkd.in/e7v_nNrU IAFF and IAFC have always opposed these moves: -https://lnkd.in/eC7XanaV -https://lnkd.in/e3uX_kiF NAEMT has long equivocated on them: https://lnkd.in/eAyWMDjG https://lnkd.in/eVjAQzUF My personal opinion is that creating the role of Paramedic Practitioner (which by de facto legalities would require possession of a Masters degree) is a great way to encourage completion of undergraduate degrees, since you need a Bachelors degree to go to grad school. I also think it is line with NEMSAC's thrust over the past several years. I don't think it's putting the cart before the horse; I think it incentivizes undergrad degrees, which it appears to me NEMSAC has been an advocate of for close to a decade if not longer.

Some great points (and discussion) on the Paramedic Practitioner proposal.

Medical Education Courses—rated highly and exceptionally well received by our audience of physicians and healthcare professionals. TAKE A LOOK: https://bit.ly/3YcsOqw. AMMG’s on-line educational curriculum consists of video recorded courses from our conferences over the past several years. Each event was fully accredited for continuing medical education credits (CME). At the time they were given these courses met or exceeded all standards for continuing medical education. This means the standards were high, the faculty was vetted, and the courses contained non-commercial, evidence based topics taught at the medical professional level. #AMMG #AgeManagementMedicine #CMEEducation #ContinuingMedicalEducation #CMEConferences #CMEOnlineCourses

Have you ever considered the pivotal role of a preceptor in shaping the next generation of healthcare providers? The idea that learning is not just about absorbing information but about experiencing it firsthand is truly transformative. Imagine a preceptor as a beacon of light, guiding eager learners through the intricate maze of healthcare with wisdom and expertise. Their role goes beyond just teaching; they sculpt budding practitioners, instilling not just knowledge but the art of compassionate care. In the realm of healthcare, the preceptor stands as a guardian of knowledge, fostering independence and nurturing competence in those destined to tread the same path. It's a symbiotic relationship where learning flourishes through hands-on guidance and real-world applications. Each interaction between a preceptor and a learner is like a brushstroke on a canvas, painting a picture of learning, growth, and excellence. The mentorship provided creates a ripple effect, shaping not only individual careers but the future of healthcare itself. Let's ponder on the profound impact of preceptors and the invaluable legacy they leave behind as stewards of knowledge and mentors of care. https://lnkd.in/eUtyszAZ
