Is LinkedIn really the best social networking platform? Let’s see what the data says. According to an explodingtopic.com article, In 2024 → Facebook - 3.06 billion Monthly Active Users. → YouTube - 2.70 billion Monthly Active users. → Instagram - 2.35 billion Monthly Active Users → LinkedIn - ONLY 300 Million monthly active users. Also, metrics like average time spent per day of LinkedIn are way lower compared to YouTube and Instagram. Looking at this, LinkedIn is far from being the best social networking platform. But this is only one side of the coin. LinkedIn might lack quantity of audience but it’s number 1 in terms of quality of audience. Because according to Hootsuite.com, → 60% of LinkedIn’s users are between the ages of 25-34. (The best-paying audience.) → 96% of B2B marketers use LinkedIn for organic social marketing. → More than 61 million companies are on LinkedIn → 54% of U.S. LinkedIn users have a high income. So after looking at this data, definitely LinkedIn is not an ideal platform for everyone. Especially if you want fame. ↳ If you want to be recognized on the streets, go to Instagram or YouTube. But if your goal is to → Attract a high-quality audience. → Build a high-quality network. → Sell your services. LinkedIn is definitely the best platform for you. P.S. How much time do you spend on LinkedIn every day? #LinkedIn

In this article, I will give you 10 golden tips on how to manage your company’s presence on social media. 1- Answer the questions With the increasing number of customers on social networking platforms, companies need to do more than post their updates; companies must also be ready to answer questions. A recent study found that eight out of ten American companies answer customer questions and complaints via social media. The survey also shows that American companies are particularly successful at this. The study indicates that 83% of companies always deal with questions or complaints sent to them via social media. However, only 54 percent of companies in this survey also talk and actively participate in online conversations with consumers.” What about your job? Do you answer or avoid questions?

This is a PSA on an underappreciated feature/value of LinkedIn. I recently had a conversation with an aspiring author about the "dubious" marketing value of the platform. Her concerns are familiar: * LinkedIn isn't a serious platform for exchanging ideas * Most content is reposted/recycled * Viral posts are mostly personal in nature * Most senior executives don't spend any time here * It's become way too crowded with low content posts looking whose main intent is to go viral. * Typically less than 5 % of your followers/connections even see whatever you post, and only 1% reacts * Even a viral post that leads to a surge in followers is unlikely to result in real business leads. * "It's basically turned into Facebook." All of the above is correct. It also misses a key point. LinkedIn is not Instagram or TikTok. Yes, it's home to influencers with 100K+ followers, some of whom even make a bit of cash. (Read more in this piece by Jafar Ershadi Fard https://lnkd.in/dKWRcchp) But when was the last time you purchased a product based on an LI post from someone you follow? Exactly. Karissa Price and I have just published a book which, if you follow either of us, you already know. We owe a lot to LinkedIn for its success. It has helped us: * Reconnect with contacts who have helped us connect with others with similar interests * Connect/engage with leaders who gave us endorsements and helped us find readers * Acted as a key source of leads for keynote and workshop opportunities * Attract readers that have gone on to buy copies for their teams/bosses, and/or given us reviews on Amazon--again, helping readers and clients find us * Laid the groundwork for conversations with potential business partners ( "oh yeah, I've been seeing your stuff from time to time, let's talk!") * Inspired several cold outreaches from leaders/organizations with whom we had no previous connection. All this without a single post that has exceeded 50 reactions (well, maybe one). Our average is less than 15. On a base of over 6000 followers. Turns out you can get a huge business impact here with a limited level of public reaction. This is particularly true if your product or service appeals primarily to senior leaders--who either see your content but don't react publicly, or hear about it from one or more reports. This is the reaction you really want. Not a "like." A conversation. The value is not immediately evident to the naked eye. It takes time to manifest. Of course, LinkedIn is also a great way to keep track of new developments. I learn a lot about AI/ tech advances from Alex Gault, marketing from Greg Bolton, and finance from Tim Logan. It's also a fantastic tool for privately engaging with a subset of your network on common concerns, at a scale that was previously unimaginable. 90% of an iceberg is below the surface. Ignore or discount that value at your own risk. Keep posting.

💻 You’re paying for ads but not investing in LinkedIn ? You might be missing out on a more sustainable growth strategy. A recent conversation with a client left me thinking: He runs successful Google Ads for his business but still struggles with consistency. When I asked him about his LinkedIn presence, his response was, “I don’t have time for LinkedIn. Paid ads are easier to manage.” Here’s the thing: Paid ads may get you immediate attention, but organic LinkedIn growth offers you something far more valuable—long-term relationships with decision-makers, CEOs, and industry leaders. 🌱 Think about it—LinkedIn provides genuine, free reach to professionals actively looking for solutions like yours. It’s a platform where CEOs and board members are scrolling through their feed every day. 📱 Here are 3 ways to start building your organic LinkedIn presence: Consistent Posting: Take inspiration from @Melanie Deziel, who grew her influence on LinkedIn by regularly sharing industry insights and case studies. Consistency is the game changer. Aim for at least 2–3 posts per week to stay on your audience’s radar. 📅 Engage Authentically: @Neil Patel is a great example of someone who makes an impact by simply engaging with his network. It’s not about spamming likes; it’s about thoughtful comments on relevant posts. This can turn passive scrolling into active relationship-building. 💬🤝 Optimize Your Profile: Consider @Austin Belcak—his LinkedIn profile is a masterclass in personal branding. Clear headlines, a powerful summary, and industry-specific keywords that get him found by the right people. 🎯 Paid ads may get you immediate attention, but is your organic presence pulling in long-term clients? Let’s discuss in the comments! #LinkedInStrategy #OrganicGrowth #MarketingTips #BusinessDevelopment #ProfessionalBranding

🌟 LinkedIn Marketing Made Simple: 5 Simple Steps for Your Brand LinkedIn serves as more than just a resource for professional networking and job searching. It's also an effective tool for reaching potential clients and promoting your brand. LinkedIn has more than 700 million members globally who are eager to learn about your company. However, what is the best way to promote your brand on LinkedIn? Here are five easy steps to get you going: 1. Identify Your Goals Before using LinkedIn, consider your objectives. Would you like more people to be aware of your company? Or perhaps you'd want to receive additional leads? Make it obvious what your goals are. 2. Speak Their Language Imagine you’re talking to a friend. What would you say? Use that same friendly tone on LinkedIn. Share helpful tips, interesting stories, and things that matter to your audience. 3. Choose the Correct Time Timing is important, just like when riding a wave. Post when people are most active (usually Tuesday to Thursday, between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM). Experiment and see what works best for you. 4. Check Your Stats LinkedIn gives you cool tools to see how your posts are doing. Look at things like how many people saw your post and how many liked it. Adjust your strategy based on what you learn. 5. Hashtags Are Your Friends Hashtags are like labels for your posts. Use ones that fit your topic. For example, if you’re talking about digital marketing, use hashtags like #SocialMediaTips or #ContentStrategy. Remember, be yourself, engage with your audience, and have fun! 🚀 #SocialMedia #Linkedin #DigitalMarketing #LinkedinMarketing

🎯 Defining Your Target Audience on LinkedIn: The Key to Attracting the Right Clients One of the biggest mistakes I see professionals make on LinkedIn is trying to appeal to everyone. The truth? If you’re talking to everyone, you’re talking to no one. 🚫 To thrive on LinkedIn, you need to laser-focus on your ideal audience. Here's how: 1️⃣ Understand Their Pain Points What keeps your dream clients up at night? What are their challenges and desires? The better you understand their problems, the better you can position yourself as the solution. 2️⃣ Define Their Demographics Are you targeting CEOs of tech startups, small business owners, or marketing managers at enterprise-level companies? Get clear on the basics—age, industry, location, and job title. 3️⃣ Align with Their Goals What results are they looking for? Show them how your expertise bridges the gap between where they are now and where they want to be. 4️⃣ Speak Their Language Your tone, content, and even the emojis you use should resonate with your audience. If you’re targeting C-level executives, keep it polished. For creatives, lean into personality. 5️⃣ Be Consistent Your posts, profile, and messaging should all reflect who you’re speaking to. This builds trust and familiarity, increasing the chances that the right people will reach out. 🔑 Bonus Tip: Look at your existing network. Who’s engaging with your content now? Use that data to refine your approach! 🚀 If you want to consistently attract clients who are eager to work with you, it starts with clarity. Take the time to define your target audience, and LinkedIn will become your most powerful lead generation tool. 👉 Your Turn: Repost this to help others get laser-focused on their LinkedIn strategy. 💡 📅 Ready to take your LinkedIn game to the next level?
