Some of the common misconceptions we see often about hosting events at a bar & restaurant (or many over multiple-locations): 1. Staffing Issues. Trying to host too big of an event can be too hard on staff, but there are plenty of smaller type of events that can be just as effective at creating customer loyalty with little or no additional work on your staff. 2. Cheapening Brand. Overusing discounts as a promotion method, especially for premium brands, can set a lower price expectation for customers. That's not ideal, and events can actually be a way to create marketable moments without having to run discounts. 3. Events Are Only for Special Occasions. Some believe that events should be reserved for special occasions or holidays. However, regular, smaller events can keep customers engaged and coming back more frequently, helping to build a consistent customer base. Check out this episode all about the value of events for bar & restaurants along with a few low-lift ideas that we see be consistently popular across our 200+ markets.
