🚧 John Sutch Cranes Ltd supports landmark #Sheffield Forgemasters Project 🚧 We’re proud to share our role in delivering one of #SouthYorkshire’s most ambitious projects, as we erected the WOLFF 355 B Luffing Jib Tower Crane for our European 🇪🇺 client, WOLFFKRAN, on the Sheffield Forgemasters scheme. Partnering with VINCI Building, this project marks a significant milestone in the construction of the UK’s largest open-die forging facility—a transformative £138 million investment. Precision in Action 🏗️ Our team was tasked with constructing the first of two WOLFF 355 B cranes, a complex operation that began with preparing robust foundations and anchoring the crane securely. Using our The Manitowoc Company Grove GMK6300L mobile crane, we delivered and expertly assembled the modular tower sections under tight safety standards. The tower crane, now fully operational, will play a pivotal role in constructing press pit foundations, erecting a 40-metre-high superstructure, and redistributing materials. UK-based CENTRAL CRANE HIRE (HULL) LIMITED has taken delivery of a Liebherr LTM 1160-5.2, the first of its kind in the company’s fleet. The five-axle crane features an impressive 62-metre main boom. The 180-tonner can carry 22.5 tonnes of its counterweight complying with the UK’s STGO regulations that allow axle loads of up to 16.5 tonnes. Additionally, the crane has been equipped with Liebherr’s innovative technology, including Variobase® and Varioballast® for increased safety and capability when lifting, as well as remote control for all superstructure functions and engine shutdown.  @Jamie Chan, Director of Central Crane Hire commented: “We are thrilled to welcome the Liebherr LTM 1160-5.2 into our fleet.
