For those of you who love good argumentation, here Maurits Dolmans during a panel on "The Relationship between competition and other policies in Europe and the US" at DG COMP today, talking about how the EU and EU antitrust regulation approach questions of sustainability. This was incredible to watch. If you end up having a free minute, take a look at 6:55:27 for some very impressive reasoning which managed to enrapture the room. https://lnkd.in/eDGBsJad

At 9 a.m. Pacific, I join the historic Consolidated Board of Realtists on Juneteenth with highlights from my trilogy on the 13th, 14th and 15th Amendments including We Fought, We Vote: 150th anniversary of the 15th Amendment. The holiday must advance the most successful period of national unity in American history -- three Constitutional amendments in five years--as a result of the political organization and skill of African-Americans.

To break the content monotony on LinkedIn, here's a post that might be somewhat politically and ethically heavy... 🙂 As a public servant, I found Timothy Snyder's recent New Yorker analysis of Trump's fascist presence resonant. Snyder's analysis—particularly his examination of authoritarian tactics—speaks directly to our ongoing efforts to maintain and strengthen the Nordic model of democratic governance. From our European perspective, I particularly admire how the article reflects concerns such as the erosion of democratic norms and the importance of preserving public trust. The Nordic tradition of transparent governance, strong public institutions, and social trust starkly contrasts the forces Snyder describes. Our commitment to these values makes Snyder’s analysis particularly timely. https://lnkd.in/dZd3U44E
