Scarcity mindset is where you pretty much think that stuff is scarce (money, time, attention), there's only so much to go around and if you give some away you'll have less for yourself. An abundance mindset is one where you feel that resources aren't scarce and being generous with what you have doesn't leave you with less – there's plenty, there will be more. Listen to this week's podcast episode on how these two affect your business --> https://bit.ly/3QXv9V8

Podcast Episode 97. What I learnt from my father who embraced innovation? Continuing this special podcast series dedicated to my father, Episode 2 dives into his passion for innovation. 🚀 As an engineer, my father believed in exploring new ideas and tools, whether it was a cutting-edge hair dryer or a modern kitchen gadget—luxuries for a middle-class family like ours in the 1980s. But his true lesson was deeper: innovation isn’t just about gadgets; it’s a mindset of curiosity, creativity, and constant improvement. 🔧✨ In this episode, I share how his love for trying new things shaped my approach to life, work, and even productivity. 💼 🎙️ Listen now to learn how embracing innovation can create positive change in your everyday life. Let’s keep exploring, one new idea at a time! 🌟 #FathersLegacy #PodcastSeries #InnovationMindset #EmbraceChange #LifeLessons #ProductivityHacks #CuriosityDriven #nithyarangarajan #fullonselfmotivation #selfmotivation #happybirthdayappa

This is the reason why people don't achieve the level of success they want. They confuse skill with ability. Skill is something you develop over a period of time through repetition. It is rooted in performance. Ability is the perception you have of yourself, it's rooted in identity. 90% of people never achieve their goals because they get these two wrong (me included). When I realized this; I worked on my identity so I could grow into the ability to achieve my goals. You might have the skills, but lack ability. If this is you, my podcast episode will help you greatly. Link in comments

"We want to rely on sensory details and observations. Loss is one... Loss is noticing the void. It's noticing that negative space that would have been filled. It's automatically putting down that other place setting before you realize, they aren't here." Draw your readers into a scene and help them feel the emotion of the moment, rather than simply telling them about the emotion. This is one of the ways you can give your readers the best possible experience. We are almost at the end of Series 11 of JBM’s podcast, 40 Minute Mentor. That means we have recorded over 250 episodes. And using some rusty maths skills, that’s over 10,000 hours of interviewing people. Yup, that's a lot of talking… And you know what I've learned?! The best guests are always the ones who are willing to be honest and vulnerable, the ones who: ✅ Aren’t afraid to go off script, who’ll admit their f*ck ups and share what they learnt from them. ✅ Are honest about how hard entrepreneurship is - because it is and we shouldn’t over glamorise it. ✅ Don’t take themselves too seriously and are up for having a laugh. This makes for a much more authentic, entertaining and powerful episode. Plus is allows our listeners to hear the real truth, get some actionable advice on how to avoid making the same mistakes and hopefully be entertained at the same time. Win. Win. Win Which Founders that tick the above boxes should we next get on the podcast?

What’s really driving the way you talk, work, or handle stress? 🤔 I’ve done all the personality tests—the ones that tell you you’re an ENTJ one week and a Sage the next. By now, I’m suspicious of anything claiming to “decode” personalities. But this one? It’s the first time I haven’t felt boxed in. 🎙️ In our latest podcast episode, we explore a fascinating model that shows how six distinct traits shape who you are. It shows how all of us are more complex than a single label—and how we can use that to our advantage. This isn’t just theory—it’s actionable. It’s the kind of insight that makes you stop and rethink how you approach every conversation. 💥 Dropping the link soon—stay tuned! What’s one thing you wish you understood earlier about how you or others communicate? 👇

Free psychology tip: People are more interested in your work if you show them that you put a lot into it. Could be time, could be cash – if you personally invested a lot into something, we value it more highly. It's called costly signaling and Phill Agnew from Nudge Podcast explained it to me on the Creator Science Podcast. This is why MrBeast talks about how much money he puts into his videos (and partly why he does it in the first place). This is why lead magnets say, "I spent 267 hours researching this topic!" If YOU clearly value it, we'll value it more highly too. – Want to hear the full episode? Listen on your favorite podcast player: https://lnkd.in/eSyBY5jc

You’ve heard people talk about the importance of consistency right? Here’s the thing; Most of us are terrible at it, unless it takes very little brain power (like brushing your teeth or walking) We try to get consistent at content creation or sales but we give up because it feels complicated and often overwhelming. If you want true consistency in your business there are three main ways to go about it. One way is to find something within your zone of genius. Your zone of genius is where things feel easeful, fun and impactful. For me, that’s podcasting. I can show up every week without really thinking about it and it gives me a huge amount of fulfilment. Consistency is easy because I enjoy doing it and I know it is impactful both for my business and others. Do I ever miss a week? Of course, but I just get straight back into the rhythm without much thought. There are two other ways to create consistency in your business. If you are interested in this topic let me know in the comments and I will do a part two…
