You only lose weight by consuming less calories than your body requires to maintain itself. It doesn't matter what foods you eat. As long as you're in a caloric deficit you will lose "weight". Ideally we only want to lose bodyfat. In that case we need to ensure we are getting enough protein in our diet and eat foods that don't cause massive insulin spikes. Also weight training is required to maintain muscle mass. Methods change often, principles never do.” We can apply this to weight loss as well: There are many ways that lead to Rome, but in the end they all include: ❌ A CALORIE DEFICIT You can choose to reduce your calories through: - Intermittent fasting - Cutting down carbs or fats - Stop drinking alcohol - Reducing your sugar consumption The method doesn’t matter. The principle does. This is not bad news, on the contrary: It means you can choose the form of calorie restriction, that works best for YOU! I personally, don’t do well cutting out entire food groups.
