Isn’t it frustrating when you pour your heart into amazing content, but no one’s listening?😩 Engagement is KEY to building a community around your expertise and attracting those ideal clients. But there’s a smarter way to do it than just mindlessly commenting everywhere. The 4 engagement NO-NOs to avoid: ❌ Don’t waste hours on engagement without a plan. ❌ Don’t disappear after someone comments. ❌ Don’t engage just for the sake of it. Here’s what to do instead: ✅ Find accounts and conversations that match your expertise and where you can ACTUALLY help people. ✅ Write interesting comments that spark conversations. Think of it like chatting with a friend! ✅ Plan your engagement just like you plan your content. Set aside specific times to connect with others. This will keep you on track and avoid overwhelm. Authenticity is your best strategy on Social Media. Some people reached out to me for advice on building their personal brand. They’re afraid that they aren’t an expert. ↳ But the truth is personal brand is how authentic you are. Here’s why: 1. Trust building. - It builds trust, and trust turns followers into loyal customers. 2. Unique voice. - An authentic voice sets you apart from the crowd. - It's your unique selling point that no competitor can replicate. 3. Connection. - When you are authentic, you don't need to chase followers. - They come to you because they connect with your authenticity. 4. Engagement. - This authentic content resonates when you share your journey, values, and passion. - People relate to real stories, real struggles, real successes. Remember, here is one tip for you to start your personal brand: → Being real can be your biggest asset. It's about something other than crafting the perfect image or having the most followers. → You don’t need to try to be someone else. It's about being real, being you. P.S What do you think about authenticity? ↓ ✨

I’m getting solid engagement on my posts, but no clients. This is a common challenge faced by many LinkedIn hustlers, myself included. But here’s what I’ve learned about what we could be doing wrong: What’s Working: ✔ Daily commenting (100+) ✔ Posting consistently ✔ Good, informative captions ✔ Pinned comments These steps help build an audience, but the big question is: Is even 0.25% of your audience converting? If the answer is "No," here’s what might be going wrong: ❌ Engaging with irrelevant people ❌ Commenting on every post you see ❌ Not learning from top personal brands ❌ Posting irrelevant content ❌ Posting less than 4 times a week ❌ Failing to explain what you’re selling ❌ Low-quality posts ❌ Ignoring design for your personal brand A strong personal brand with clear, relevant messaging and design is essential to converting followers into clients.

I saw a quote that completely changed my perspective.🪟 I was not into the world of social media and I was never the one to promote my profile until I came across a quote that said 📢 🗣️ "Your personal brand is what people say about you when you're not in the room"– Jeff Bezos While this line might seem ordinary to others, it was a complete game changer in my life. From less than 100 connections to a big digital family of 9k on LinkedIn I came a long way in the virtual competition just by knowing the importance of personal branding. -> A digital Difference Maker -> Creates credibility and trust -> Provides you recognition -> Virtual resume for career opportunities But as the coin has two sides, there is another side to branding which is influencer marketing. Or you may say indirect paid personal branding. (Paid doesn't always mean monetary benefits, there are collabs, exchange of the items promoted, etc.) -> No transparency -> No credibility for the brand -> Limited target reach Even though everything has its ups and downs 〰️ I would say that authenticity and building your own brand never goes out of style. 😎 Appendix 1: Who do you favor "Team personal branding" or "Team influencer marketing"? Appendix 2: No influencer was harmed during writing of this content. Follow Vivek Raj for more 🌞 Like, Comment, Share, Repost ▶️ Press the 🔔 icon. Building trust in marketing requires genuine, audience-focused communication, not trickery, deceptive or self-centered tactics. Curated by: Martin R. Ricketts When building trust in business, it's essential to recognize that potential clients or customers don't know you yet, so trust must be earned. I recently encountered two examples that highlight what not to do. In one instance, I received a text from someone asking for "Jerry," and when I corrected them, they tried to strike up a random friendship. Recognizing it as a common bait-and-switch tactic, I blocked the sender. This deceptive approach erodes trust rather than building it. Similarly, in a networking group, someone announced "exciting news" about their new book—framing the entire message around themselves with no relevance to others. It's easy to see why such self-centred approaches fail; people need a reason to care about your message. In marketing, addressing the "what's in it for me" (WiifM) element is crucial to resonate with your audience. Ultimately, relying on lazy, misleading tactics wastes time and misses the opportunity to build genuine connections. Instead, creating value is far better, allowing people to get to know, like, and trust you gradually. I encourage everyone to revisit their messages and ask a neutral party for feedback to ensure your communication is engaging, relevant, and, most importantly, adds value. Do Work You Love.
