What's it like to speak publicly in Japanese as a non-native? Great! 😇 Especially when you have wonderful and supportive community. Yesterday, Spectrum Tokyo Hosted their Japanese language event at RAKSUL in Meguro. I had raised my hand to give a presentation to talk. The vibes were warm and inviting. Here are my key takeaways: 1. 𝗢𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗜𝗥𝗟: In a telework world, there is something that is painfully missing. It is being present in moments that can open doors you never imagined and is becoming a rare commodity. 2. 𝗘𝗺𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗨𝗻𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸𝘀 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱𝘀: Tackling new challenges head-on not only builds confidence but opens up worlds you never knew existed before. 3. 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗺: A strong, supportive community propels you forward, making each step feel lighter and more fun! In conclusion, stepping out of your comfort zone, especially in a foreign language, is immensely rewarding. The growth and connections made are invaluable. Thanks to everyone who made this experience so enriching! 🙌🌟
