As our last meeting before the official chapter launch came to a close, and I pondered over our position as the most vibrant and rapidly progressing hybrid core group in Central London, I couldn't escape the realization of the commitment needed to make an event truly successful. It's not solely the responsibility of the current leadership; it's also indebted to our previous leaders Marlene Francisco and Mark Seow who invested their time, energy, and passion in laying the groundwork for the next wave of leaders to achieve even greater success. Not forgetting the support we get from our director consultant Kostas Kapelas (Msc), which is a game changer. More importantly what I have learned most while leading this group is that in our journey, what benefits one business might not necessarily benefit the collective, but what uplifts the group undoubtedly benefits everyone. Fostering a culture of inclusivity, positive mindset, and leading by example becomes increasingly crucial as we progress into a fully established chapter, that is launching on the 1st May. With our sights set on achieving £1m+ in the coming year, we embrace the ethos of 'We C.A.R.E.' - Closed Business, Accountability, Referrals, and Education. Armed with a clear vision and a well-defined roadmap, we are determined to reach our targets with greater speed and integrity. We extend an invitation to London-based businesses with a forward-thinking outlook to join us, particularly those in industries such as estate agency, travel, virtual assistance, creative design, copywriting, photography, HR, nutrition, and more. If this resonates with you and your business ethos, don't hesitate to reach out to me for your personal invitation to join our community on the 1st May 2024 in Central London. De Transformatie Groep goes live on stage with Boom for Business: 🙌 🙌 Three Cheers for Dysfunctional Teams! 🙌 🙌 Be there at April 25th, Amsterdam 🗓 Pep Rosenfeld of Boom Chicago hosts a unique evening with the leadership team from De Transformatie Groep. Together they present a serious and funny program with out of the box thinking about how work teams actually work. Plus drinks! Dysfunctional teams are a challenge in both definitions of the word. They are a challenge, as in difficult, putting our patience and good nature to the test. Bad communication and bad culture are draining, and output is stunted. And if you don’t know who the problem is… it might be you! 🤔 Dysfunctional Teams are also a challenge as in a quest. In many cases, the only way is up, both in output and joy. Support your superstar mavericks. Build on the good. Improve your culture of trust. Soon you will start a virtuous cycle and life is better for everyone. Boom Chicago Pep Rosenfeld and De Transformatie Groep team up for an interactive evening about how to build up the trust that is the foundation of successful teams and what to save and even nurture in a dysfunctional team. Curious about the future of IT and how to stay ahead in a rapidly changing industry? Our CTO has shared his insights and key takeaways from #UPGRADE'24 by ITCORNER – two inspiring days of honest discussions, dynamic panels, and actionable ideas. Discover: 🔥 Why the "easy days" of IT are over. 🚀 How to stay competitive and embrace change. 🏋️♀️ Why strong organizational culture is the foundation for innovation. 👇 Read more here 👇
🌟 Old ways won't open new doors. 🌟 If you know me, you know I'm not a fan of IT related conferences. For years, they've felt to me like a mix of polished appearances, advertising, self-promotion, and smoke and mirrors. Thankfully, ITCORNER does things differently, and after spending two days in Wrocław, I must admit - I left feeling proud to be a tiny part of this organization! UPGRADE'24 was two intense days filled with knowledge, inspiration, and, most importantly, honesty. It wasn't about lectures, speeches, or presentations. The majority of the event focused on discussion panels, packed with insights, substantive content, and dynamic exchanges of ideas. Here are my three favorite sessions: 🔥 The Doom Panel: "The easy days are over. Why will it become increasingly harder to compete?" 🚀 The Hope Panel: "It's good enough to grow. How to stay competitive and ride the wave of change?" 🏋️♀️ Panel: "Without strong organizational culture, there are no good changes." 💡 Key takeaways that stuck with me: 🔵 The IT industry is maturing and evolving. 🔵 The easy times for simple business models in IT are over. ➖ There are several paths forward, and many of us will need to reinvent ourselves as companies. 🔵 The key to success lies in the speed of implementing changes and adapting to a dynamic market. 🔵 Over 35 years, the Polish economy has risen to join Europe's leaders. ➖ Risk: We have a generation of ambitious, success-driven individuals--but will they have the determination to keep building a strong market? ➖ Opportunity: If we don't settle at the level of Spain and Italy, we could climb even higher--but we need innovations to get there! 🔵 To grow and innovate, the IT industry needs the right people in the right places. ➖ Organizational culture is not about benefits. ➖ The boom years have done damage to both companies and people. ➖ Organizational culture is the foundation of change. ➖ Without commitment and engagement, even the best strategy will fail. ➖ Everything, both good and bad, starts with leadership. 🔵 The days of stumbling in the dark might work when margins are high and selling is effortless. But in "normal" times, metrics and monitoring are critical. A big thank you to all the panelists, speakers, and everyone I had the chance to talk to and exchange experiences with over these two days. ITCORNER is a truly unique group of people and you did an amazing job! 🙇♂️ Thank you 🙇♂️ Karolina Charewicz-Jakubowska, PhD, Monika Bogacz, Paulina Baszak, Mateusz Połoczański, Monika Komoda Tomasz Muter, Krzysztof Habowski, Michał Nikołajuk, Michał Zacher, Tomasz Szarek, Krzysztof Ryk I'm already looking forward to UPGRADE'25! foto by IKONA | video - streaming - animation #UPGRADE24 #ITCORNER #Networking
