📣 #CallForPapers Fifth joint Bank of England - Banque de France - IMF - OECD - Banca d'Italia workshop on International capital flows and financial policies.   The Bank of Italy is organising the 5th workshop on 'International capital flows and financial policies', in collaboration with Bank of England, Banque de France, International Monetary Fund and OECD - OCDE. The event will take place at the Bank of England in London on October 4, 2024.   The aim of the conference is to foster the debate on the evolution of capital flows in the current context of a more fragmented international financial system. The workshop will discuss: ✔ the effectiveness of the policy measures adopted to mitigate the volatility of capital flows ✔ the role of non-bank financial intermediation in the propagation of global shocks ✔ the implications of digital currencies and climate change for international capital flows. 📌 Keynote speaker: Hélène Rey, Lord Bagri Professor of Economics at London Business School. 📅 Application Deadline: May 17, 2024. In this context, we welcome the G20/OECD Note on Assessing and Promoting Capital Flow Resilience in EMDEs: Evidence on Drivers and Policy Implications. It assesses the factors influencing capital flows to EMDEs, and how they can attract and retain stable, long-term foreign capital investment flows".
