Crestview’s solar crew has been hard at work prepping the conduit runs ahead of the landing of the first round of inverters at the Tilley Solar Project. Last week the inverters arrived and with the help of our subcontractor TNT Crane & Rigging, the crews were able to land them in record time with skill and precision. With the inverters now in place the project is moving at full throttle towards the finish line. ✨ Stay tuned for more electrifying updates! 🌞

Imagine a future where production of all offshore wind components and pre-assembly is undertaken in ONE comprehensive port. The benefits of such an 'All-Component Offshore Wind Port' are substantial: · Elimination of intermediate transportation costs: By eradicating today’s costly intermediate transports from production site to pre-assembly port, we minimize transportation expenses. · Reducing risks associated with transportation and logistics. · Enhancing value for on-site manufacturers’ products: With fewer transportation links, it becomes more attractive to purchase components produced in the port, than components produced elsewhere. This pioneering 'One-Stop-Shop' production and installation for nacelles, blades, towers, and foundations is what we envision at Odense Port. In the Offshore Wind industry, the size and weight of monopile and turbine components are increasing. How can we install these growing components and still ensure the integrity of the vessel? The solution lies in an integrated design approach that considers both equipment and vessel. At TWD, we conduct global vessel integrity studies, developing both global and local vessel models. These models enable us to streamline the interaction between components, equipment, vessel layout and its integrity throughout various operational phases. By conducting these checks during the vessel design or construction phase, we can optimize equipment design and identify areas where vessel reinforcements may be necessary at an early stage. Adding reinforcements after the vessel is completed is significantly more costly than during vessel construction. Therefore, our proactive approach ensures enough time for cost-efficient modifications to be implemented. A truly elegant solution...
By turning SPMT transporters into a giant forklift, we marshaled 61 transition pieces faster and more efficiently than by other methods. This work, for Breakbulk & Offshore Wind Terminal, is helping to put 1,900 GWh of offshore wind capacity into place in France. Watch how!
