In today's interconnected world, national borders cannot stop criminal activities, ranging from terrorism and human trafficking to cybercrime and organized crime. Collaboration among law enforcement agencies is therefore paramount. As we mark the completion of the Norway Grants-funded project “Strengthening of Inter-agency Cooperation and Increasing of Crime Investigation Quality in the Lithuanian Police,” we gain another great example of the robust Norwegian-Lithuanian ties. Through the joint project activities, Lithuanian and Norwegian police officers have enhanced their capabilities in crime prevention, investigation, and response. By pooling resources, expertise, and intelligence, countries can more effectively address criminal threats, ensuring the safety and security of their citizens. #EEANorwayGrants #ClosingConference

This week, RCMP INTERPOL Ottawa is running a capacity building course in the fight against transnational vehicle crime. A first in Canada, this training will enhance the investigative capacity of Canadian law enforcement to detect, investigate, and recover stolen vehicles. Capacity-building courses, such as this Formatrain course, helps us to continue to leverage our international network to share information on auto theft and organized crime trends with foreign law enforcement partners and help make connections to police of jurisdiction in Canada. This is another great example of international partners working to combat transnational organized crime more effectively. We are committed to serve together. What timing!! Just watched Roraima Ana Andriani address the United Nations on the International Day for the Prevention of and Fight against All Forms of Transnational Organized Crime. Roraima, my first boss when I started there in 2012, now serves her third Secretary General at INTERPOL and her second from the Americas region. Her message was clear and strong: "It is my belief that we must remain unwavering in our commitment to this fight, with efforts that intensify without hesitation. However, while strong cooperation among law enforcement is crucial, it is not enough on its own. We also need heightened awareness at all levels, a resolute political will, collective dedication, and a unified, multilateral approach to effectively combat transnational organized crime worldwide." Her vision for a safer world through collective action is not just talk. It's action. It's leadership. And it's exactly what Valdecy Urquiza needs as he navigates his new role at the top of INTERPOL. Chapeau, Roraima!! 🎩 Here's to continuing the fight against #OrganizedCrime. Keep pushing, keep driving, and keep leading! #INTERPOL #LeadershipGoals #CrimeFighting #UNODC #ForASaferWorld

The German-Polish joint police patrol on Usedom is a perfect example of how international collaboration can improve public safety. With officers from both nations working side by side, they address local incidents like accidents and traffic checks, ensuring faster and more efficient responses on both sides of the border. This daily cooperation shows how important it is for countries to share knowledge and resources in law enforcement, especially in border regions. Joint training programs also help officers navigate differences in laws, enhancing their effectiveness. #PoliceCooperation #CrossBorderSecurity #PublicSafety

It’s exciting to be back in Lyon-France, joining the rest of the world at the 19th Heads of National Central Bureaus conference to re-affirm our commitment, through enhanced cooperation and collaboration in the fight against transnational organized crime for a safer world for all. Once again we reiterate our call for Interpol to fully utilize its privileged position by bringing together all member countries to pool resources, build capacity and support those that are in need of technology and training in order for all National Central Bureaus to meet the minimum operating standards regardless of their geographical location. While countries may compete in different spheres of life, global security is not such an arena, as doing so will be surrendering our fate to criminal syndicates. #Globalsecurity #Collaboration #19HNCB #Lawenforcement #Police 𝐌𝐮𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐚 𝐍𝐚𝐰𝐚 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐥 𝐒𝐆!!
