Happy Thanksgiving! Today, I celebrate Canada's Thanksgiving Day, and I hope you also have a chance to celebrate with loved ones today. This year, I encourage you to take inventory of everything you have to be thankful for. Despite frustrations, stress, and everyday challenges, I hope you can find SOMETHING that you can give thanks for. As another year draws to a close, let’s take a moment to celebrate our achievements and look forward to some well-deserved rest. Making it through the year is achievement enough! Spare a thought for those who may not be as fortunate—those for whom work is their only refuge, and this break brings them to an unhappy or unsafe place. Think of those who have no one to come home to, for whatever reason, or those without the means to celebrate. In these challenging times, some may feel they have little to be grateful for. Take a moment to appreciate all that you have and treasure each moment, as there are no repeats. While this reminder applies year-round, this season makes it especially meaningful. Reach out to someone who might be struggling—a call, a text, or a message can make all the difference, letting them know they’re not alone. And above all, remember: whenever you have the chance, be kind.
