In our latest Leadership Insight, we spoke to Members of our global Community to find out the key trends and watchpoints that will shape 2025. Featuring insights from: ➡️ Oliver Jones, Head of Asset Allocation, Rathbones Group Plc ➡️ Xenia Wickett, CEO, Wickett Advisory ➡️ Matthew Blagg, CEO, Criticaleye ➡️ Venkataramanan Anantharaman, Non-executive Chair, Ecom Express Limited and Board Mentor, Criticaleye ➡️ Marcus Stuttard, Head of AIM and UK Primary Markets, LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group) Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/eetQ5D4h #GlobalEconomicOutlook2025 #LeadershipInsight #geopoliticalandscape #leadership

This letter from Jamie Dimon is long, but well worth the read. It’s a masterclass in demonstrating corporate leadership IMO. The clarity and nuance on topics like politics, world affairs, equity markets, DEI and others show why he’s in rarified air among CEOs. #leadership

We are proud to have played our part in supporting FTSE Women Leaders Review, this valuable initiative has seen investors, companies and other stakeholders come together to deliver this change, with women now comprising 42% of FTSE 350 Boards. The UK's business led approach to improving gender diversity on Boards and senior leadership teams, as spearheaded by #FTSEWomenLeaders, has played a pivotal role in driving up the number of women in senior leadership roles in British businesses.
Investor Influence There is no doubt that investors have brought influence to bear on this topic as they continue to view diversity is a business imperative that results in better decision-making and plays a key role in the company’s long-term success. For investors, it is not simply a matter of setting diversity targets. Their expectation is that this will be taken forward by Nomination Committees developing a robust talent pipeline and succession plans at both board and leadership level. Investors are monitoring and tracking progress that companies are making on diversity and exercise their shareholder rights to hold companies to account where they fall short of expectations. Every year, The Investment Association’s Public Register identifies companies in the UK FTSE All-Share Index that have received significant opposition (20% or more dissent) by shareholders on a specific resolution. Hear from Andrew Ninian on why investors recognise the importance of diversity in leadership. #FTSEWomenLeaders #GenderBalanceForBusiness Penny James Nimesh Patel Vivienne Artz OBE FCSI (Hon) CMgr CCMI AIGP Laura Needham Rachel Hopcroft CBE Fiona Cannon OBE Melanie Richards CBE Monique Carter Chris Grigg Pev Hooper

In the second quarter of 2024, we collected survey responses from more than 100 CEOs of NYSE-listed companies to find out what today's CEOs are thinking, seeing, and doing to navigate emerging shifts in geopolitics, trade, technology, and people. CEOs are accepting rising geopolitical tensions and increased government intervention in the economy as the new normal and adapting their operating models accordingly. More than three-quarters of chief executives surveyed plan to take action to adapt to this new environment in the next one to two years. This morning I read JUST Capital's new 2024 People’s Priorities Report - the findings provide important guidance for all business leaders. Three highlights: ✅ Americans are generally united in their expectations for corporations –particularly in areas where positive societal impact dovetails with positive business performance. ✅ Business can and should be a force for good. This means: paying people fairly, investing in their workforce, treating customers better, offering products or services at a fair price, minimizing harm to the environment, strengthening communities, and even making good on climate commitments. ✅ In today’s low-trust environment, people hunger for more information on what companies are actually doing, not what they say they are doing. Click here to discover more in the 2024 Americans' Views On Business Survey: https://lnkd.in/gmZ3Bvwr JUST Capital’s mission is to demonstrate how just business – defined by the priorities of the public – is better business. I deeply appreciate the work Martin Whittaker and the team at JUST Capital are doing to help create a world where business and markets are a force for the greater good. #leadership #socialimpact #climatechange #sustainability #socialchange #walkthetalk Impakt #CSR #corporateresponsibility
