👏 Proud to see CRM Group showcased at the PROMETIA Scientific Seminar by our colleague , Bernard Vanderheyden, on November 26-27 at BRGM in Orléans. During the session on METNET, Bernard highlighted our work in developing and scaling pyrometallurgical recycling processes through projects like: COACH, enabling low-CO2 recycling for steelmaking by-products, successfully tested at Tata Steel Nederland. Reverse Metallurgy, recovering critical raw materials for the energy transition with innovative techniques combining pyrometallurgy and hydrometallurgy. Proud to contribute to green steel, circularity, and the energy transition! #CRMGroup #Innovation #GreenSteel #CircularEconomy #EnergyTransition #Forabetterfuture
On 26&27 November, I enjoyed once more participating to the outstanding annual PROMETIA #ScientificSeminar, held this year at BRGM in Orléans. During the session dedicated to #METNET, a collaborative network of European pilot plants for extractive metallurgy and mineral processing, I had the opportunity to highlight how new pyrometallurgical #recycling processes and associated #preprocessing techniques are developed and upscaled at CRM Group. This was illustrated by : (i) the COACH project, a European #RFCS funded project, where recipes for cement-free #agglomeration of #steelmaking #byproducts were developed at lab and pilot scale for low CO2 #recycling in blast furnaces, and finally successfully tested at full scale in Tata Steel Nederland; (ii) #ReverseMetallurgy projects funded by the #WalloonRegion, aiming to recover Critical Raw Materials for the #energytransition by combining #pyrometallurgy (in our pilot scale #plasmafurnace) and #hydrometallurgy, in collaboration with JGI-HYDROMETAL; the preparation of hazardous materials (drying, intensive mixing, #briquetting or #extrusion...) being carried out with special care for #safety and #environment in a dedicated clean room. #Innovation #GreenSteel #CRMAct European Research Executive Agency (REA) Circular Wallonia S3 Wallonia | Smart Specialisation Strategy WIN4C - Walloon Initiative for Circular Materials
