Last week, I posted about the launch of Project Nemo.   The idea for Project Nemo was borne out of one person using their influence and generating a lot of word of mouth with it.   Working on Project Nemo, amongst other things this year, has got me thinking about just how important our voices, and our connection to our communities are. Not just in doing good, but in making good money.   I am and have always been passionate about equality. Equitable relationships, built on trust and credibility, creating communities. Over the past few years this has manifested as me exploring my own voice (a journey I would LOVE to share with anyone who is interested…especially women or people of colour on that exploration themselves!)…maybe that’s another reason I got disillusioned with FinTech, but that’s a pontification for another time…   My next chapter is about how you leverage voice and community to drive better business outcomes. What it's not - becoming a LinkedIn influencer. What if 150 young minds from five countries could solve the biggest challenges in their community? The ACTIVATOR project is making this happen! Our Living Labs is empowering youth across France (Guadeloupe), Slovenia, Slovakia, Poland and Bulgaria to tackle realworld issues with innovative solutions. Youth leaders are discussing topics including: 🌍 Environmental sustainability 💼 Youth employment 🤝 Social inclusion 🔄 Intergenerational dialogue 💡 Educational innovation 🌱 Community development But how does a Living Lab work? Here's our methodology: 1. Youth identify local challenges: No one knows the issues better than those who live them every day. 2. Analyze root causes: They dig deep to understand why these challenges exist, ensuring their solutions are impactful. 3. Connect with community experts: By collaborating with local leaders, they gain invaluable insights and support. 4. Develop solutions: With creativity and determination, they brainstorm and refine their ideas. 5. Prepare for our upcoming Virtual Hackathon: This is where the magic happens—a platform for showcasing their innovative solutions to a wider audience. 🙏 Thank you Iris Stojko for inviting me to attend the World Child Forum in Davos for one day as a visitor and listener. The WCF is an independent initiative that organises a complementary event to the World Economic Forum in Davos. At the same location, in the same rooms, with a view to the future and from the future - by children and young people. 💛 It was amazing to see, how much creativity and hope there is in young people, how much passion and how many solutions, how understanding can overcome hate brought in by grownups. It's this natural sense for collaboration and excitement, that we adults have unlearned. It was also tough to listen to these young people on how tough there backgrounds are and how clearly they can see the problems in this world, already including some bitterness in between as things don't seem to change. ✅ I will share 5 initiatives on behalf of the event, that presented their efforts and solutions to the crowd: 💡 Art & Activism for Amazonia - fighting against cattle farming, logging, soy plantations and mining in Brazil's rainforest   💡 Combatants for Peace - consisting of members from Israel & Palestine who refuse to be enemies and shout out, that only peace is the right way to go and to end Israeli occupation of the Westbank   💡Reconciliation Projection - providing Columbian Youth with a platform to share their experiences and work on the healing of society in a country, that has a huge history of division and violence   💡 Youth Manifesto - Resistance to unite young people against oppression and marginalisation in all systems, executed in the favelas of Brazil   💡Regional Youth Places - they want to build a youth center to stop separation between Serbians, Croatians and Bosnians based on religion 🏃♀️ We at knodel foundation share the passion for local solutions brought to life by our chancemakers and hope, that this initiative will be heard in future events of power - such as the WEF, where billionaires and corporations currently take decisions that affect all of us, outside any democratic legitimacy. #sinnfluencer #worldchildforum #chancemaker #davos #future #solutions #youth #listen #children

This action-oriented social incubation program empowers civil society initiatives worldwide. Here's a snapshot of our success: 26 Projects supported: We supported impactful initiatives tackling diverse social challenges. 14 Activists Empowered: We equipped dedicated social activists from 18+ countries with the skills to drive social good. 20+ Sessions Conducted: We facilitated numerous workshops and training sessions to equip participants with the knowledge and tools they need. 2 Retreats Held: We fostered connection and collaboration through focused retreats for our network. 172+ Training Hours Delivered: We provided in-depth training on essential topics for social impact.
