Wouldn’t it be great if your attendees automatically received a calendar invite for your events? And what if their calendar stayed up-to-date even if you rescheduled? Well, now it does. When attendees register for your events, they’ll automatically receive a calendar invite. 🗓️ “But what if I’m hosting a multi-session event?” Good question! By default, multi-session events will send calendar invites for each session. However, you can choose to send just one invite for the entire event or none at all. This update provides another way to remind your guests, helping increase your show-up rate. Let us know your thoughts and feedback » crowdcast.io/updates

We all talk about how and what we need to change in the events industry. And yes we do. Less - longer programs - less alcohol-focused events within the event - noisy networking receptions with super loud music - less stress for our #eventprofs More - KPIs that will create better-personalized experiences - Engaging content that will be mindstamping - Energy from your speakers that will rock your attendee's world - Memorable moments that last forever and not only on your camera roll I always challenge our clients to map out what they would want to do more of, and less of with their team, and really focus on the emotional factors at play here. More importantly, do it for internal purposes. Ask your team "what do you want to do more of, or less of?" Best way to know who is working on their passion projects, and where you will need to fill in the gaps. Come to think of it. I would like for this question to be posed to your event stakeholders as well. Not on a post-event survey, but in the thick of the event. You will get a more solid answer and feedback that can help you deliver amazing experiences. What do YOU want to see less of and more of in our industry? Share below. **************************** Sign up for bits + bites of industry news, tips on #eventtech, #martech, #inspiration for your events and teams: https://lnkd.in/eza5QRD5

Are some of your event features at a detriment to your others? Sure, we all want to add more content and more value to events. However, is that coming at a cost? We recently managed a feature for a client and when we called through the people who didn’t attend post event, (which I highly recommend you do) Most of them told us they were tied up at another feature or presentation at the same time. Some even said there were too many other things on offer! It pays to be mindful when scheduling speakers and presentations and to really think about the cross section of the audience and who will likely attend which session. If you’d like some help with this for next years events, reach out to me and we can have a chat.

What do you want your audience to take away from your event? You need to have a clear agenda for your events. You shouldn't just go in and wing it. The audience needs to know what they're going to get out of the event, so they know whether it's worth their time and money. It doesn't have to be complicated — just make sure that you have an idea of what you're going to talk about, or do at the event. If there are multiple parts, make sure each one has a clear goal. You should also have some kind of plan for how long each part will take so that you don't run over time or end early. Even if there's no formal presentation or lecture, there's still a lot of prep work that needs to be done in order to make sure things go smoothly. Your audience needs to know what's going on so they can get the most out of their experience at your event. They need to know why they're there, what they're supposed to learn, and how this relates back to them in their own lives. An agenda can be as simple as a list of the items you want to cover, and it should include: The purpose of your event. Why are you holding it? What do you want attendees to take away from it? The topics you want to cover. Use subtopics to break down what needs to be discussed in more detail so that each section is clearly defined. A schedule for each topic. This shows how much time will be dedicated to each topic, which will help you prioritize them if necessary and make sure that everything gets covered in time. If possible, provide an agenda template so people can follow along at home and prepare ahead of time for questions they may have about certain topics or points of interest. Dear Compere, Today, I'm throwing it back to an unforgettable event I compered! The compere/presenter/host is one delicate part of effective event management that can add colour or mar the event. For all aspiring comperes out there, here are three tips to rock the mic: 📍 Be Prepared: Know your script, understand the event, and be ready for unexpected twists. No two events are the same. 📍Connect with the Audience: Engage, involve, and make them feel part of the experience. It's about them! From your research, you should already have an inkling of who your audience would comprise of. 📍Embrace Your Style: Find your unique voice and delivery. Authenticity resonates! Don't hide under the shadow of a mentor or another compere you admire. It's okay to have one you follow. However, look inward and find your own style and run with it. That's what sets you apart. 👉 Ready to elevate your event? 🚀 Let's create memorable moments together! 💬 DM me for compering services, live or virtual! Do have a beautiful Thursday! . . . #day2of25 #EventHost #ThrowbackMemories #ComperingTips #VirtualHosting
