Did you know that Google Search Central just released an update on August 15th that is considered a core update to Google Search? No need to worry because my team and I have reviewed the update and analyzed it and come to the conclusion it goes hand in hand with our strategy! It is one of the few times a Google update allows us to double down on our current strategy rather than pivoting to accommodate. This shows me, more than ever before, that our strategy not only works but is standing the test of time! Key Takeaways... 1. Small websites, IT'S YOUR TIME! Google is now giving more love to content from small and independent sites. This addresses feedback from previous updates and levels the playing field. 2. Quality still reigns supreme. If you've been working hard on improving your content, you're likely to see better rankings. Keep up the great work! 3. No need for drastic changes. Google's advice remains the same: focus on creating helpful, reliable content for your users. It's all about value. 4. Keep an eye on your Search Console. It's your best friend for understanding how these updates impact your site's performance. (We've been BFF's 😂) The refinement never stops. Google continues to tweak its algorithms to enhance the quality and diversity of search results. Remember, SEO is a marathon, not a sprint. Stay focused on creating value for your audience, and the rankings will follow. What are your thoughts on this update? Has anyone noticed significant changes in their rankings? We would love to hear from anyone affected! #SEO #GoogleUpdate #DigitalMarketing #ContentStrategy

Google’s August 2024 core update rollout completed 📣 I'm prettyyy sure this update was impactful to most and has caused a lot of ranking movement changes and displacement to the overall Google Search results. If your website got hit, I can definitely understand the pain… 🥲 According to Barry Schwartz’s poll results, most participants reported being negatively impacted by this latest core update. Here’s what he saw: - 44% said My Rankings/Traffic Are Down (total votes 1,583) - 27% said My Rankings/Traffic Are Up (total votes 993) - 29% said No Change (total votes 1,038) This update took into account the update that happened last September 2023, which aims to provide searchers with the best range of high-quality websites, including “small” sites that are creating useful, original content on relevant searches. Here’s what John Mueller, a search advocate from Google suggested for you to do: “Make satisfying content meant for people - to improve the quality of your content by showing what people find genuinely useful and less content that feels like it was made just to perform well on search engines.” In other words, you should prioritise your user and target audience’s needs before anything else. Create helpful, reliable and people-first content that adds value and addresses your audience’s pain points and needs! 👍🏻 #seo #seocoreupdates #googleupdates #digitalmarketing
