Your clients aren't just clients... They are experts in their niche/industry. Start asking them questions about: - Their niche/industry - Future goals or plans - Customers pain points - Main competition - Target audience - Common problems the industry faces You have unlimited questions to ask them. Not only will this help you gain an understanding of what needs to be done for your client, but it will also help you have more knowledge of the whole industry. Which means when you have another client in the same industry, you'll have more of an understanding on what they need. Clients have more to them than you think.

Understanding your target audience Developing a USP begins with your target audience. What do you know about your target audience and why they buy items from the market you are operating in? What needs do those items meet for them? In other words, are they looking for a time saving, some expertise, a trustworthy supplier or something else? By consulting customers, colleagues and friends, you should be able to make a list of all the reasons someone might choose to buy your product or service.
