🍁 Healthcare is a field of purpose—but how often do we pause to appreciate it? As Thanksgiving week unfolds, I’ve been thinking about what it means to give thanks in an industry where the stakes are so high. 👉 We thank the teams who show up every day for patients. 👉 We thank the patients who trust us in their most vulnerable moments. 👉 And we thank the quiet moments where we realize why we do what we do. But here’s a question I’ve been asking myself: What if gratitude wasn’t just something we expressed once a year, but a practice we built into every part of our work? 🩺 In the way we lead with transparency. 🩺 In the way we create systems that center trust and care. 🩺 In the way we remember that quality isn’t just a goal—it’s a promise. This week, I want to challenge us all to reflect on this: What would healthcare look like if we made gratitude part of our daily practice? Next week, I’ll explore how we can lead with purpose, trust, and connection every day, not just during the holidays. But for now, let’s start with today. 👉 What’s one thing you’re grateful for in your work? Share it below—I’d love to hear it.

What a week. What a show. What an incredible community. #CHFANow was nothing short of extraordinary. It wasn’t just the energy in the room, the innovation on display, or even the business we accomplished—it was the people who made this experience unforgettable. We didn’t just come to showcase our solutions; we came to push boundaries, to challenge the status quo, and to connect with the trailblazers of our industry who are doing the same. And what we found was more than we could’ve hoped for: partnerships that inspire, conversations that motivate, and a collective drive to shape the future of our industry. Here’s what set this trade show apart for us: 🔥 A vision shared is a vision amplified. Our team, clients and partners who share our passion for changing the game. Together, we’re not just talking about the future—we’re building it, one bold move at a time. 🚀 Momentum that doesn’t stop here. The energy from this week isn’t staying in the convention halls. It’s coming with us, propelling us forward as we turn ideas into action and innovation into impact. The road ahead is bright, and we’re ready to keep driving. 🙏 Gratitude at the core. To everyone we spoke with, collaborated with, and learned from—you’re the reason we do what we do. It’s not just about business; it’s about a shared purpose and a commitment to lift each other higher. Thank you, Canadian Health Food Association. We came, we saw, and we’re leaving more inspired and energized than ever. The future is ours to shape, and we can’t wait to take the next steps—together Marsham Natural Products Broker GreenFresh Toodu Dakota Marsham Derek Marsham Paul Marsham Kyle Marsham

What can an excavating/civil construction contractor learn from an lawn and landscape consultant? The simple answer is A Lot! I think the lawn and landscape industry is ahead of the civil world, in the use of peer groups and consultants to improve their businesses. I believe that Jeffrey Scott is one of the best peer group leaders and consultants out there. His methodical approach to analyzing and evaluating the companies he works with is second to none. In addition to his consulting work, he hosts a very informative podcast. Where he interviews landscape owners and executives. The knowledge I have gained listening to these podcasts has helped inspire me and look at my business differently. I highly recommend you give Jeffrey a follow.
A few weeks back was visiting Jeff Stroupe, and his wonderful team at Landscapes by Terra for our high-impact in-person peer group meeting. We helped Jeff Stroupe (our host of this event) create some real breakthroughs in how he will move forward with his team. It's a company to watch! I really love the inperson aspect, it offers immense value by fostering direct, real-time interaction that enhances our groups overall communication and relationship-building. Unlike virtual interactions, these face-to-face meetings allow for nuanced discussions, and deep analysis, which strengthens our connections with each other. We have created a real sense of community and shared experience among our Leader's Edge peer group members. On this particular trip we had the MOST open dialogue I have experienced in a while, with many of these leaders opening up and sharing "the real story" of how they got to where they are, or what is holding them back from true greatness. I am confident lives were changed. These well facilitated meetings allow us to engage in profound problem-solving around the table, but also during casual conversations later one, or at the bar late in the evening. It's the meeting after the meeting that some of the bigger aha's happen. Nothing beats the physical presence of pushing one another to engage and commit. Thank you Blair Walton, Roger Wiese, Kevin Werbrich, JC Sutherlin, Aaron and Shanna Scordo, Ivan Katz, Justin Wall, Mark Smith, David Gross, Matt Hiner, CLT, Arnold Arsenault Jr., Lincoln Anderson and the entire team at Landscapes by Terra.

Brand positioning is everything, and it's really frickin' hard. Below is a 30 second example of how we're approaching it with CPG Fast Track - and it all starts with asking the right questions every brand should consider: ➡️ What problem are we solving better than anyone else? ➡️ Where do we fit in the landscape of other brands solving similar problems that our target customer would know? ➡️ How do we differ from them in ways that add value to our customers? Doesn't hurt to have stellar business minds on board to help with this... Lisa Barnett Matthew Gartland Jason Feifer Markus Karjalainen

I had the opportunity to join Rowan Fisk, Sara Bennison, Mark Evans and Celia Pronto at this great 3Search event earlier this week. There were some fantastic insights worth noting, whether or not a NED role is for you. A few healthy reminders for any of my network trying to find, reach or continue to explore their career North Star… 🌟 By all means have success as your goal, but acknowledge that also doing something of significance (aligned to your passions and purpose) will bring you new and unexpected opportunities. You can do both. 🌟 Embrace a squiggly career (I’ve spoken of this before). A non-linear path broadens your expertise, expands your portfolio and ultimately can be much more rewarding. 🌟 Be kind to yourself. Of course, a rewarding career doesn’t reach a pinnacle in 2-3 years! Take time to enjoy the process of learning, networking and growing. 🌟Don’t stay in your lane. Join groups, attend events, network (maybe even contribute) outside of your industry or profession. This is how you’ll better expand your knowledge and pop up on the radar of unexplored circles. 🌟 Practice the skill of honing-in on what matters. Prioritising the 2-3 questions to ask will give you more impact and insight than probing everything. 🌟 Recognise and celebrate your transferable skills, not just what you’ve done as a marketer. Your values, your purpose and how you show up are where your authentic superpowers really exist.
Another great event yesterday - thank you so much EY and Rebecca Hirst for hosting us in your offices, and a huge thank you to Celia Pronto, Mark Evans and Sara Bennison for sharing their journey from CMO to NED. So many amazing takeaways for our audience of 50 CMOs... loved seeing people turning the page on their notepad because they'd run out of space! If you'd like to be a part of the community we're building, let me know. More sessions on the horizon...
