1 year ago today. It was the same week our second child arrived. I was made redundant. At the time it was a big deal. We made some huge decisions, hatched a plan and went for it; Here’s how it went; ⭐ Had our second child ⭐ We moved cities for a less stressful lifestyle ⭐ Started a small business cleaning Heat Pumps to keep money coming in. ⭐ Worked after hours to build VeMedia with Sam Ringdahl ⭐ Launched VeMedia ⭐ Sold our house ⭐ Got mentors on board While these were the actions, here are the outcomes; 🤝 Had more time to show up for our kids 🤝 Filled our work pipeline 3 months in advance 🤝 Earning more than ever before 🤝 Clear growth path mapped out 🤝 Working on epic projects with great clients. The lesson for me. If you come at life with a positive mindset, adversity can light a fire. And if we don't have adversity, we seldom grow. Embrace it. Smash Monday in the face peeps!

4 years since we started Launch Point! What a ride. Starting a business is hard. More lows than highs. More confusion than clarity. And yet… 4 years of helping people make successful career transitions. 1.5 years of helping people make transitions from ministry into marketplace jobs. (Shout out to Erica Cates for sending me my first clients.) We've helped 51 people make that shift. (see the headline ticker) We're not slowing down. Actually, we're just getting started. We've been building in secret. But those days are over. It's time to open up the flood gates. (cue Chris Tomlin song... or not) In August, we're ramping things up. I can't wait to show you what we've been up do all these years. — We gave one free resource in July. (DM me for access) Another one coming this month. Can’t stop won’t stop. Here's to year 5 🚀

Starting LADM wasn’t just about a career; it was about creating a life that lets me do what I love while staying true to my values. Here’s why I leapt: 1) Working with people who match my vibe 2) Helping multiple businesses grow 3) Flexibility to make a real impact – Listening, adapting, and evolving gives each business exactly what it needs. 4)Creating space for innovation – Every project allows us to find new, effective ways to reach audiences. 5) Freedom to be customer-centric – Working independently means I can truly focus on what matters most. 6) Leading teams to be their best – Working with in-house marketing teams allows me to inspire and guide them to be even stronger versions of themselves. 7) Prioritising family time—Starting LADM means I get to be present for my daughter, attend parent-teacher nights and class concerts, and watch her grow up. 8) Building genuine connections – My clients are partners. 9) Growth that matters – It’s not just about the numbers but about strategic growth aligning with each client’s unique goals and needs. 10) Making a positive difference—I believe in lifting others up. Starting LADM was about more than marketing; it was about making an impact and creating space for the things that matter most. Looking forward to the next stage of the journey. N.b The photo is of my daughter leaping (not me) #ThisisLADM #MarketingWithPurpose

Know there hasn't been an update in a couple weeks. But, today is Halloween and I appreciate the kids who go door to door to work for their candy. Parties are great, but so many skills are learned simply through Trick or Treating: - Showing up is 99% of success - If you don't ask, you don't get - Timing matters - Always move in groups for security - It takes work to fill up your basket On the OTW front, I thankfully don't have as many conversations with folks who are open to work of late, I know it's tough out there. Talented people need work and I don't know of many teams who couldn't use a couple extra hands on deck. So instead of overspending to use up the marketing budget before losing it next year, why not consider funding projects to jumpstart 2025 early? Also, if the project exceeds expectations, finding space for them full time becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. If you need a conversation to jumpstart your spirit, DM me and we'll find some time. Always remember: You're not alone in your search. #growthmindset #jumpstart #trickortreat
