PA Sustainability Week Tip #3! #Sustainability starts at home! There are many easy ways to start implementing sustainable solutions in your own home, including: - Save energy with LED lightbulbs (including outdoor lighting!). - Reduce waste by switching to cloth napkins, reusable "paper" towels, beeswax wrap, and reusable sandwich and snack bags. - Save water use in your garden by installing a rain barrel. - Reuse and repurpose items. Single-use coffee pods make great seed starter pots, and milk jugs are fantastic mini-greenhouses! Old t-shirts can have a second life as cleaning rags. (Just to name a few...) - Compost your food and yard wastes! Composting food waste not only keeps it out of landfills, but also helps save our #sewer pipes!
