We are thrilled to be part of the "Enhancing SME Access to European Research and Technology Infrastructures: A Pathway to Innovation & Growth" workshop, which is taking place today in Brussels. The event gathers around the same table representatives from RIs, SMEs, Member States, national funders, and the European Commission to foster collaborations in two strategic domains: advanced materials and biotechnology. At Euro-BioImaging, we believe that European Research Infrastructures (RIs) offer significant yet underused opportunities to support research and innovation for small and medium enterprises. We are contributing with our partners ALBA Synchrotron, ELIXIR, ESRF - The European Synchrotron INESC Brussels HUB to make it easier for SMEs to leverage these advantages. 🔍 We are not just offering services but creating connections within an entire ecosystem to power European innovation and competitiveness in biotechnology and advanced materials. Our goal is to continually improve and facilitate access for SMEs, ensuring they can benefit from available cutting-edge technology and advanced services. Euro-BioImaging is part of a joint effort by European Research Infrastructures to put their scientific capacity directly at the service of commercial users, accelerating innovation and maintaining Europe's position as a technological global leader. We are particularly eager to engage with the European biotech sector, where our imaging expertise and tech portfolio are unmatched assets. 🌐 We want to break the silos and remove the barriers to research and innovation. During this workshop, participants work jointly towards addressing pressing SMEs needs. Singapore startups shone across nearly every domain in #SLINGSHOT2024, the world-renowned deep tech startup competition at Singapore Week of Innovation and Technology (SWITCH) organized by Enterprise Singapore. #Singapore startups made their mark across nearly every domain, showcasing impressive innovation and earning top spots in various categories. However, there’s still room to grow in the Health & Biomedical; manufacturing & trade sectors. Notably, the 2nd and 3rd positions among the top three grand winners were secured by startups in the Health & Biomedical domain, underscoring the critical importance of advancements in health tech and biomedicine for human well-being. With the right support and investment, Singapore can further strengthen its presence in this field, advancing breakthroughs in health tech and biomedicine. An interesting thing is that both these projects will have post project activity based on individual organizations having interest and aligned activities in the topics. In both data is central from the developed SiC technologies. For the future the digitalization will be an added dimension for tokenization and embedded sustainability accounting.
