You are no longer required to submit annual safety reports to the Ethics Committees (as of 1st of August 2024), unless your study has CAG (Confidentiality Advisory Group) approval (for using personal data) in which case you have to continue submitting your annual safety report to allow CAG to perform assessment. #clinicaltrials #UK #Ethicscommittees

Many many thanks to Mitchell Hamline School of Law for providing me with complementary registration for last week's 23rd Annual Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics (SCCE), Compliance and Ethics Institute! It was a busy week and I was only able to attend a couple of live virtual sessions, but the availability of post-conference recordings and materials is invaluable to me as a student and full time worker. Recently, the Legislative Council has been reviewing the Advance Decision on Life-sustaining Treatment Bill, and there have been more discussions about Advance Directives and End of Life (EoL) Care in society. It is very timely for us to invite Dr Doris Tse, the Chairperson of the HA Clinical Ethics Committee at the Hospital Authority, to give a guest lecture to #MBBS V students in the Medical Ethics and Law programme.
