🌟 Read about Ana Lozančić's Inspiring Research Adventure in Paderborn Meet Ana Lozančić, a dedicated young scientist working at the Laboratory for Functional Materials at our Institute. As part of the Hrvatska zaklada za znanost (Croatian Science Foundation)'s "Young Researchers' Career Development Project" (DOK-2020-01), Ana is pushing the boundaries of materials science under the guidance of Dr. Marijana Jurić. Her current PhD research focuses on the synthesis and potential applications of oxalate compounds within the TOPOXAL-SYPROXID project. Recently, Ana enhanced her research during a fruitful stint at the University of Paderborn, under the expert mentorship of Professor Michael Tiemann, exploring advanced methods in material conductivity. 🔬 Why Paderborn? Ana chose this destination to access specialized equipment not available locally, which is crucial for advancing her PhD research on the electrical properties of oxalate complexes of transition metals. This project is part of a broader effort to develop materials with multi-functional properties, essential for innovations in various technological applications. 📚 Dive into Ana's journey and discover how her work is paving the way for new technologies. 👉 Read the full interview here: 🔗 https://lnkd.in/dzaJqvxc #Science #MaterialsScience #Innovation #Research #PhD #InternationalCollaboration #WomenInSTEM Feel free to like, comment, and share this post with your network to celebrate Ana's achievements and the exciting possibilities her research holds! 🎉

✈ International exchange and collaboration are the recipe for success in research! Our PhD student Christian Busch from #SFB1316 is currently visiting the Instituto Superior Técnico in Lisbon to analyse his research results together with the IST research team. During the GEC conference 2023, where Christian Busch presented his results, Prof Vasco Guerra invited him to the IST. In Lisbon, Christian learns how to simulate the vibration kinetics in the discharge and discussed various processes, cross-sections and rates with the researchers at the IST in order to be able to reproduce the experimental data. 🌐💡
