📢 New Supplier Partner Alert: Welcome, FarSounder! We are thrilled to bring this innovative developer of forward-looking sonars on as an official OST Supplier Partner. 🌊 Farsounder’s advanced underwater sonar systems are designed to produce real-time 3D images of the environment ahead of the vessel, and are in active use by environmental research and survey organizations, militaries and governments, fisheries and commercial vessels, and on USVs. 🛜 FarSounder’s sonar technology combines modern signal processing, acoustics, and phased array sonar design to create a solution that provides an entire image within a single ping, with a rapid update rate. 🪸 Not only providing reliable hazard and obstacle detection, Farsounder joined the Seabed 2030 Project last year, an initiative aiming to map the entirety of the earth’s seabed in order to advance collective understanding of the ocean floor. At the same time, the company began the development of a SBIR-funded cloud-based service that hopes to enable the sharing of survey data collected by Farsounder customers. News, case studies, and events involving Farsounder’s latest developments and new technologies will be on their profile, so watch this space! 🔗 Visit the company’s supplier profile to find out more >> https://hubs.ly/Q02vGf5P0 #ocean #sensors #subsea #technology #mapping

When they ask me what underwater Timeshift inspection means? It means that you need to have accuracy on flat underwater wall that is less than 2 cm in 500 meters of length. Based on such assumptions your can overlap two inspections with time increment. Of course you need to solve “banana” effect that depends on depth, salinity, light and turbidity. Solving banana effects means that you understand photogrammetry calibrations on level that is far away from you just place camera in watertight enclosure. And this is reason why we are the only ones who have such portfolios that can show data as in video. 🧐 If I’m wrong I would love to see similar quality underwater data. Please share in comments.
