Christmas is around the corner ;) 🎃🎄 One thing that always amazes me in North America is how early we start gearing up for major holidays like Halloween and Christmas. The decorations go up weeks (even months) ahead of the actual event! 🎃👻🎄 This year, I was visiting family in Alabama in late July, and I was shocked to see almost nothing left in stores for back-to-school—yet shelves were already filling with holiday items. Fast forward to today, and I just saw one of my neighbors putting up their Christmas tree... While it’s fun to get in the holiday spirit early, it also poses some interesting challenges, especially in logistics and supply chain management. In North America, retailers and businesses have to order and adjust inventory much sooner to meet this early demand. Timing is everything! What do you think? Are we getting into the holiday spirit a bit too soon, or is it just part of the excitement? 🎅🤔

Happy Independence Day! Our office is closed in observance of the holiday, but we'll be back in tomorrow from 8:30am to 1:00pm, ready to bring the fireworks (figuratively speaking, of course!). As financial advisors, we think there’s no better way to celebrate this day than by sharing an overview of the numbers that shape our celebratory experiences: 🍴$9.5 billion - The estimated amount Americans spent on 4th of July food in 2023 — about $93.34 per person. 🌭 150 million - The number of hot dogs consumed each 4th of July — enough to stretch from D.C. to L.A. more than five times. It’s also the number of American flags sold in the U.S. each year. 📺2 million - The number of people who tuned in to watch 2023 Nathan’s Famous International Hot Dog Eating Contest champs Miki Sudo and Joey Chestnut consume 102 hot dogs combined. 🍻$3 billion - The estimated amount of dollars Americans spent on beer and wine for the Fourth of July in 2023. If you partake, just remember to enjoy responsibly! 🎇$2.3 billion - The total U.S. consumers spent on fireworks in 2023. 🚗50.7 million - The number of people who traveled 50+ miles from home for the 4th of July, up 4% from 2022. Whether your day includes travel, hot dogs and hamburgers, fireworks — or something else entirely — we’re wishing you a day filled with fun and relaxation!

🎄 Christmas Creep! Does Christmas come earlier every year? Or is it just the articles moaning about Christmas coming earlier every year that come earlier every year? Two key facts: – Supermarket premium mince pies, on average, were launched on September 2 this year. Back in 2018 it was Sept 22nd (figures from Assosia Ltd). – Sainsbury's Xmas advert never used to air until after Remembrance Day. This year is was released on November 1. This week's column for The Times on Christmas Creep and why it matters https://lnkd.in/ezevWkw4

🌱 A New Path to Health, Inspired by a Friend’s Story 🌱 While staying in the U.S., I had a heartfelt phone call with a friend who shared concerns about her mother, Mary. Once a passionate cook who loved her trips to the grocery store, Mary now finds these routines challenging. Between feelings of fatigue and occasional dizziness, grocery shopping and meal prep had become burdensome, and my friend was naturally worried. This conversation inspired the start of NUSEUM’s personalized grocery shopping service – an experiment to support Mary’s well-being and bring ease back into her daily life. We put together a tailored list of nutritious, easy-to-prepare ingredients to support her health, along with simple meal ideas to make cooking manageable again. Mary’s thoughts? “It was my first time trying a service like this, and it was so convenient! The vegetables were fresh and vibrant, and it lifted my spirits.” 🛒 What We Offer Carefully curated, nutrient-dense groceries designed for those facing similar challenges, helping to restore vitality without the physical demands of shopping. Fresh, colorful ingredients that brighten meals and inspire enjoyment in everyday cooking. 🍲 Easy Recipes Provided Each grocery delivery includes simple, nourishing recipes so that meals are both easy and enjoyable.
