This month at The Ribbons Network Surrey is LEARN month and we thought this quote was spot on! 💡 “Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.” — Mahatma Gandhi At each of our LEARN focussed meetings we encourage a group discussion where we can share our own learnings and experiences with each other - with the aim to open up opportunities to continue building new ideas and setting yourself learning goals from this. This month we’ve opened up discussions around sharing WOW moments that other companies have done that have impacted our own experience. ➡️ Following this, it’s opened up opportunities to reflect on how we could now implement something like this in our own businesses to WOW our customers. What could you implement and add into your business that will WOW your customers? Share any thoughts below ⬇️

As I approach my last few weeks of university, this week my class had to create ‘a pitch’ of our business idea developed in our previous seminars 🤩 I’ve had to create a video using ‘Canva’ to create my pitch and I can’t wait to produce it to the rest of the class ✨ Overall a good week of learning and excited for the remaining few weeks 👏🏼 #TeessideUniversity #BusinessStudent #ThePitch #BusinessManagement

In an effort to equip students with hands-on business skills, the Arthur Lok Jack Global School of Business held its third Secondary School Business Simulation Competition from October 4 to November 6. The competition saw form five and six students from 35 secondary schools engage with a simulation designed to mimic the complexities of managing a real-life business. The students, working in teams of five per school, were placed into seven separate “universes” with five schools per universe, where they competed against each other in eight rounds. The one skill helped me lot , that turns fear into power—guess what it is? . . Its Public/Stage speaking ! Starting early with public/stage speaking is like training for the big game. The more you do it, the more confident you get. It’s not just about talking; it’s about learning to connect with people and share your ideas clearly. This skill helps you in business too—whether you’re pitching an idea or leading a meeting. Get comfortable on stage now, and it’ll pay off big time later. PS : This picture was taken back in my college days when I was the Secretary of the Association of Computer Engineers club. #Devwemo #TechPartner #Skills #Business #Entrepreneurship

Here's my primary goal (putting it out there for all to see) this year at Whop: 1) Find one university to fully adopt Whop for students - all students create a digital business (signup is free for the student and university) 2) Students learn about building a business in the classroom from faculty and apply those learnings, real time, to their Whop 3) All students graduate with a sustainable business (Whop) This is doable (already exploring it with faculty for their courses around entrepreneurship). What universities do you think are most likely to explore this? Who should I talk with at your university? (BTW - when I started in LinkedIn on the Higher Ed team, we were trying to get one university to fully adopt LinkedIn profiles for students. At first, that seemed daunting. Now that's standard)
