It's confusing and frustrating to see YouTube's policy inconsistencies. While showing blood and explicit violence is against their guidelines, distressing content like the killing, bombing, and torture of people in Palestine and other regions often remains accessible. This double standard raises serious questions about YouTube's commitment to ethical and humane content moderation. Why is some violence deemed unacceptable while other brutal realities are not? It's time for YouTube to address these discrepancies and enforce their policies consistently to protect all forms of human dignity. There are no words I can use to fully describe the rage and sadness I feel by the recent actions of a streamer who exploited a vulnerable homeless individual for her personal gain. Coercing someone into jumping into a lake and then fleeing the scene as they struggled to stay afloat is not only morally reprehensible but also a flagrant disregard for human life. Such behavior is utterly inexcusable and should be condemned by all. Exploiting the desperation and vulnerability of a homeless person for entertainment reflects a profound lack of empathy and basic decency. This incident highlights the urgent need for platforms to enforce (and users to demand) stricter guidelines and take immediate action against those who misuse their influence in such harmful ways. Our thoughts and support are with the victim, and we call on the appropriate authorities to ensure justice is served. We also urge everyone to demand dignity of individuals, especially those who are most vulnerable, to prevent such egregious acts from happening in the future. https://lnkd.in/gnbF2Wvw
