Research and innovation at our core. Patients undergoing radiation treatment for prostate cancer can now benefit from reduced side effects, courtesy of an innovative technique known as the "rectal spacer." Over 150 patients at National University Hospital who underwent this procedure experienced no adverse side effects following radiation treatment. Dr Arshvin Kesavan, Associate Consultant at the Department of Urology at NUH, and Mr David Peter Dowdell, a patient who received the treatment, provided further insights into the procedure. #OneNUHS #TransformingCare
