Did you know that the world's longest suspension footbridge was designed in RFEM by Dlubal Software? The Sky Bridge (footbridge from the Czech Republic) spanned an impressive 2,365.49 ft and was designed and constructed by TAROS NOVA a.s. The structural analysis was performed in #RFEM, using a 3D member model to create 16 calculation variants. These variants differed in the number of main supporting ropes, the sag, and the design of the securing wind ropes, ensuring the most suitable conceptual solution was found for the footbridge's construction. Several partial models of structural parts were created using planar elements to ensure the footbridge's safety. These were used to detail the design of steel pylons and structural joints.
