In a significant move toward sustainable transportation solutions, TRAILER DYNAMICS and THE REEFER Group have announced a strategic cooperation aimed at developing and marketing an electrified refrigerated trailer, commonly referred to as a "eCool Trailer." This collaboration combines Trailer Dynamics' expertise in electrification and innovative trailer technologies with THE REEFER Group's extensive industrial experience in trailer manufacturing and refrigerated transport solutions. The electrified Cool Trailer is set to revolutionize the logistics industry by significantly reducing carbon emissions, operational costs, and dependence on fossil fuels. The trailer will feature advanced electrification systems that provide power for both the refrigeration unit and the trailer’s propulsion, enabling fully electric, zero-emission operations. The common goal of Trailer Dynamics, REEFER GROUP and the power of its industry partners as Thermo King is to make a significant contribution to the decarbonization, increased efficiency and digitalization of logistics with growing priority in temperature-controlled logistics and to make an electrified trailer ready for series production. Each partner contributes its high-quality products and expertise to the eTrailer project with the aim of creating joint added value. Trailer Dynamics leading eTrailer technology provides supporting propulsion which allows significant diesel and CO₂ emission reduction when combined with traditional internal combustion tractors, extends the driving range when combined with an electric powered tractor, and has the capability to power electrified trailer refrigeration units (TRUs). THE REEFER Group is one of the key refrigerated trailers and semi-trailers manufacturers in the European Union. THE REEFER Group will provide its industry expertise and is specialized in the design, manufacturing and marketing of temperature-controlled trailers and semi-trailers and rigids bodies, including all related functionalities, and related parts. The collaboration will enable integration of technologies to revolutionize the industry, providing enhanced logistics capabilities for trade, industry, and freight forwarders, hauling fresh and frozen goods. It’s so exciting to see the launch of Voltloader's electric bulk haulage operations! So what tyres will be collected by Tyrewise? The Waste Minimisation (Tyres) Regulations 2023 cover all pneumatic (air-filled) and solid tyres for use on motorised vehicles, including cars, trucks, buses, motorcycles, aircraft, trailers, and off-road vehicles. Tyres for most agricultural machinery are also included. Don't worry, though, we're also working on a plan to include bicycle tyres, tyres for non-motorised equipment such as prams, and pre-cured rubber for retreads at a later stage.
