Reflecting on our journey from the Luxottica POC and first board meeting at MBS to the Accelerating Asia Ventures program and this recent event at Villaggio Italia during the Tour Vespucci, I’m incredibly proud of how far Ulisse (Lanp) has come. Thanks to ITA - Italian Trade Agency - Singapore and the Global Startup Program, we’ve not only grown but shared our evolution on a global stage, with Singapore becoming a key launchpad. This event also highlighted a positive shift in Italy’s approach to startups—focused on better capital access, legislative streamlining, and international collaboration, especially with strategic regions like Singapore. It’s exciting to see partnerships between our countries grow, particularly in sectors like manufacturing, semiconductors, and defense, while enhancing startup ecosystems to attract investments both ways. For entrepreneurs like me, who left Italy seeking faster ecosystems, it’s inspiring to see Italy’s steady progress in supporting startups with a more business-oriented political class.
