I will have the incredible honor to keynote at #H2HC2024! I can't easily describe the excitement for my first keynote ever. And it's happening at one of the most renowned security conferences in the world. I am deeply grateful for such an opportunity to reflect on fundamental aspects of security and computing, in general. Well, the talk title already gives an indication of where we will be going: "False Injections: Tales of Physics, Misconceptions and Weird Machines" Yes, we will be exploring the boundaries between physics and computing, using fault injection as our investigation tool. See you in Brazil!
Our first keynote for #H2HC2024 (21 years): Cristofaro Mune @pulsoid @h2hconference

A brilliant AGM with great speakers answering challenging questions on everything data, change, innovation, regulation and compliance. I particularly liked the question - why will it change now, haven’t we heard it all before? The answer - because it has to, with technical advancements, consumer demand and collaboration. It’s not just upfront information, that’s just part of the change, it’s everything but most important a change in mindset from everyone involved estate agents, lawyers, lenders, banking, land registry etc Refreshingly challenging and forward thinking. #changemakers #industryleaders #regulation
And that's a wrap! Thanks to all who attended and contributed to today's AGM. We're finishing up by introducing our Council members to the regulated community. We weren't able to answer all the questions, but we will respond to every question received.

I was privileged to attend the first day of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Global Symposium on Technology-Facilitated Gender-Based Violence (TFGBV). This event shed light on one of the most pressing challenges of our time. In an era where technology has become an integral part of our daily lives, it's crucial to recognise both the benefits it brings and the risks it poses, particularly in exacerbating gender-based violence. You can still register for the event here: https://lnkd.in/gDuRQU3S Key Takeaways from Day 1: 1. TFGBV is a multifaceted issue that intersects with various aspects of society. While technology offers incredible opportunities for women and girls, it also opens avenues for abuse and harassment. From image-based abuse to online stalking, the forms of TFGBV are wide-ranging and insidious. 2. Women, girls, and LGBTQIA+ individuals are disproportionately affected by TFGBV, particularly those facing intersecting forms of discrimination. Young women, public figures, and those involved in activism or journalism are at heightened risk, highlighting the chilling effect TFGBV can have on democratic participation and freedom of expression. 3. Beyond its individual impacts, TFGBV threatens open and democratic societies. Gendered disinformation campaigns and targeted hate can undermine collective rights and polarise communities, with potentially destabilising consequences. 4. Victims and survivors of TFGBV face significant barriers in accessing justice, exacerbated by the anonymity afforded to perpetrators online. Legal frameworks often fall short in effectively addressing TFGBV, leaving victims-survivors vulnerable to further harm. 5. Online platforms play a crucial role in proliferating or combating TFGBV. While some providers have taken steps to address online abuse, there remains a lack of transparency and accountability in their efforts. 6. Despite growing awareness, there are significant gaps in our understanding of TFGBV, particularly in low- and middle-income countries. More research is needed to explore the intersectional nature of TFGBV, as well as effective prevention and response strategies. I extend my heartfelt thanks to the organisers of the UNFPA Global Symposium, notably Alexandra Robinson, for their dedication to this important cause and look forward to continued progress in the fight against TFGBV. #genderbasedviolence #genderequality #violenceagainstwomen #womenandgirls #digitalinclusion #tech4good #womensrightsarehumanrights

Meet Ben Slater (serving Devon, predominantly) talking about difficult conversations. We all have them, especially the ones that seem harmless to start, and then blow-up into something bigger, seemingly out of nowhere. Ben helps to explain why these might happen, with some tips on what you might do to make this better. It's a 20-minute talk but Ben is so easy to listen to, the time will fly by. Then, speak to Ben about what he can do with your team, for your organisation, or with your club. #DifficultConversations #MentalHealth #Empathy https://lnkd.in/e-xXXQCc
