Do you have a Black Lives Matter sign in front of your house? If you have kids, do your kids know what Black Lives Matter means to you? Your sign offers a great opportunity to talk to your kids about white supremacy.   Do your kids know that the police do not act in a vacuum? Fear, control and violence are part of the construction and maintenance of the structure of white supremacy in America. Our police departments grew directly out of slave patrols. They act as a critical part of the control and violence that upholds unequal and unjust outcomes for communities of color. I’m not anti-police. I’ll be the first one to call 911 in an emergency. And I have once experienced the relief and joy of knowing the police were there to protect me (I barely remember the danger, but I remember the feeling of being protected - it was amazing). I also know that involving the police means that anyone who looks like me is in greater danger. I know that anyone with mental health difficulties, autism, or other developmental deficits, is in greater danger. And I believe it doesn’t have to be this way. I believe if we can talk to each other and our kids about race, we can build better, safer police departments and a better, safer country. I know that talking to your kids about race can be difficult; I’d like to help. I’m offering a developmentally appropriate guide for talking to kids from 0-18 about race. These films were designed to raise awareness, drive donations, and encourage engagement with Women’s Aid’s services, ultimately contributing to a lasting change in the lives of women escaping abusive environments. These films have an ongoing impact, resonating deeply with viewers and driving support for Women’s Aid's essential services. Their evergreen nature ensures a continuous engagement with audiences, amplifying Women’s Aid’s message of resilience and hope. This campaign doesn’t just share stories; it builds empathy, raises funds, and supports long-term brand engagement. When pride, politics and optics matter more than truth, honesty and competence you get these circumstances. Where the leaders have no vision the people perish. Anyone who wonders why I have such disdain for bureaucratistanic Washington DC and our current government that would be your starting point for comprehending it. So learn the lesson with every disaster and calamity that comes. It is not like there were not people warning as to the nature of these things and human cost to the people for leaders who refuse to do what they should instead of playing power games with the lives of Americans. I will continue be a witness against those responsible until they are removed and face justice. You are a spiritually blind and rebellious land whose leaders have chosen by the own volition to remain on the path which leads only to more hardship and suffering for the entire nation. If that makes me anathema to them for it, so be it. I consider the war against evil and corruption a duty not an option. I warned you as a nation if you continued to be complicit and compliant with the evils occurring here, particularly the perversity of the corruption and abuse of you children, you would piece by piece be destroyed for it. I also warned if you did not come together to address these issues in a true middle ground and forsook your political divisions and hatred that you would creation the conditions for that destruction to come faster impacting us all. So it is and so it will be until the pride and arrogance is shattered here and the control upon those who want to make a difference in the lives of others and the nation at large in truth and justice are freed from the idiocy and cowardice from doing so more.
