"Don't just give your audience content, inspire them" was one of the key lessons that really stuck when in my learning journey towards becoming a coach and speaker. You can have the best content and ideas in the world, but if your audience isn't inspired to apply, you've just given them "stuff". It is important that adverse effects such as tachycardia, arrhythmia, tremor, excitability and headache do not occur while taking Eutirox. In the case of thyroid disease, hormone replacement or suppressive therapy is not a contraindication as long as there are no organic or functional complications and thyroid hormone levels are stable within normal limits. In the case of moderate hypothyroidism, Eutirox normally restores hormone levels to normal limits, so it is difficult to imagine that there could be a significant increase in susceptibility to oxygen, as could theoretically be the case with manifest hyperthyroidism. My first 100 days at Almirall- It is good to reflect on the importance of the first 100 days in a new job and/or in a new company, not only because it allows you to leave the past behind but also to learn as much as you can about the new job. Personally, it means I am back to my hometown, so the change has been big personally and professionally 🌟 I’ve just accomplished this milestone at Almirall and I would like to share some thoughts: 👇 👉 First days is about listening and asking the right questions, meet lots of people and go through the on-boarding plan. I am very thankful to the many people who supported me on this journey and I gave even more value to the face to face interactions, you learn much more about the person! 👉 Company culture is a very ethereal concept, culture is what people think and says about the company, at Almirall I learn about the cultural transformation that the company is going through, and it is real, you feel it in everyone I meet.  👉 For someone like me with an international passion it is a privilege to work in an international Head quarter in Barcelona, and keep the interactions with different markets and people to run the commercial strategy.  👉 It is incredible to see how much knowledge there is in each corner, passion and dedication. Adriaanse, Fritz and the entire Swim South Africa (SSA) Board - time to get a new day job! It's time for change in South African aquatics. The current management team, including Adriaanse, Fritz, and the SSA Board, has failed to provide the necessary support and service to our aquatic disciplines. The practice of cadre deployment, where political affiliations take precedence over qualifications, has resulted in a leadership that serves the interests of the ANC and themselves, rather than the sport itself. The Constitution of South Africa prohibits favouritism based on political affiliations in the public service. However, the ANC's cadre deployment programme has infiltrated institutions like the department of Sport and Recreation, NOCSA, and SSA, compromising their effectiveness and independence. The ANC's motivations for cadre deployment, including extending its influence and advancing its political agenda, have hindered the progress of aquatics in South Africa. This system has led to poor leadership, lack of accountability, and a disregard for transparency in decision-making. It's time for a change. We, the proponents and participants of South African aquatics, demand the resignation of Adriaanse, Fritz, and the entire board. Additionally, we call on the government to launch an independent commission of inquiry, chaired by a representative from World Aquatics, to review South African Aquatics. This inquiry should include a forensic audit into the federation's finances, ensure accountability to participants and members, investigate the lack of transparency surrounding the decision to forego our 2024 Olympic berths, address the lack of structure and planning at the senior level, and scrutinize the team and management selection processes among other things. We cannot continue to tolerate the status quo. The cancellation of nationals for water polo is just one more symptom of a larger problem (yebo - NO Currie Cup this year). Change is needed now to ensure the future success and integrity of South African Aquatics. NOTE: If you, like I love sport, share this post. If you agree, or not, leave a comment.
