It’s National Have Fun at Work Day.  And that’s something we’re exceptional at!   We’re an excellent team doing excellent work, but we’ve also discovered that a bit of fun is the secret ingredient to keeping the wheels turning smoothly.   Whether it’s competitive baking (Glen Hardingham MRICS  takes it very seriously), knocking a ball around (football and tennis skills vary wildly), or even skiing (apologies to anyone we left in our wake), we know how to have a good time. And it’s not just about blowing off steam.   It’s about building a team that actually enjoys spending time together.  That was made very clear on our Annual Briefing Day with our Just Be Nice activity.  Everyone in the room received written feedback from someone in the team telling them what their colleagues value about them.   Studies show that fun at work boosts creativity, engagement, and team dynamics. And frankly, we’ve seen it in action: happy team, great work, delighted clients. Everyone wins.   So happy Have Fun Day! We had a fun-filled and very competitive team building bowling experience last Friday where I personally discovered that I suck at bowling. 😂 My team (a portion of our overall team) won 🏆 and victory felt soo good! In as much as I was the worst at bowling in my team, it’s the overall team effort that got us the win. Some team members were stronger at the activity than others and had to then carry most of the weight.
