We are in the midst of a new Industrial Revolution: A U.S.-based biomanufacturing renaissance. There has never been a more critical or exciting time to be part of the synthetic biology industry. This sentiment was echoed at a recent White House roundtable focused on advancing synthetic biology for job creation, economic growth, and environmental stewardship. Environmental Impact: Natural dyes are biodegradable and generally have a much lower environmental impact compared to petrochemical dyes, which contain petroleum-based ingredients and contribute to pollution. 3. No Harmful Additives: Natural dyes derived from plants and don't contain artificial additives or preservatives, reducing the risk of potential health issues associated with petrochemical dyes. 4. Allergy-Friendly: Natural dyes are very less likely to trigger allergic reactions compared to petrochemical dyes, making them suitable for individuals with sensitivities or allergies. 5. Cultural and Artisanal Value: Using natural dyes in food can also have cultural significance, preserving traditional methods of coloring food and supporting artisanal practices.
