They are young, fresh, and innocent all together It is this time of the year when universities have a new intake of students commonly known as "Freshmen" getting in Some universities are already full as others are still advertising for more students Entering the university as a freshman is a blend of excitement and nervousness The university world opens up before you filled with endless possibilities Some have enrolled in courses they don't want Others are happy that they got the courses they wanted and in the respective universities of their choice Freshmen are surrounded by peers with diverse set of dreams and aspirations The first few weeks are hectic as you adjust to class schedules, campus environment, and hostel life Some of the freshmen have been in homes with much protection and this is their first time to have all the freedom and independence they ever needed; you have a key to your room, no curfew, visitors are allowed in at anytime All in all it is excitement and smiles everywhere for the freshmen. Academic challenges await, pushing you to think critically and manage your time effectively You shouldn't forget to embrace the social aspect too by joining clubs, attending events and forging friendships that may last a lifetime It is okay to feel lost sometimes. Seek help when needed whether from professors, tutors, or counselling services Your freshman year is just the beginning of an incredible journey P.S. What memories do you have with your experience as a freshman at the university. #Freshman #Parents #University #Students
I remember my first semester as a fresher was at a University that was not of my choice plus the course All I did was hop around with my friends in the University I preferred but did not take me up😄 One would think I was enrolled there, but as my second semester approached I got to do what I wanted Of course thanks to my dad, for hearing me out

3moHuh, how I wish I could return to those freshman years, the feeling of endless possibilities. Being able to enjoy life without responsibilities weighing you down. Just calling home to ask for money to hang out with friends. Going to clubs and dancing paka chini 😀. Those were the days. I just told my young siblings who are joining campus this year that last piece of advice you just gave, " to enjoy the social aspects as much as the intellectual pursuits."
