When you hire 1, you hire the entire operation. Too many people think they're just booking a lone ranger when they call an HVAC tech, plumber, or electrician for a job. But that couldn't be further from the truth. What you're actually getting is access to an entire operation: - Team - Network - experience It's an underrated force multiplier that serious home service professionals wield. Decades of combined trade experience and know-how to draw from. What could have been a clumsy one-man operation instantly elevates into a state-of-the-art performance backed by an entire well-oiled machine. That's the difference between amateurs and elites. *** If you are an elite home service business owner, I'd love to help you grow! DM me 'grow' and let's figure out how!

A lot of my notifications are about people leaving jobs for another one, toxic managers/work spaces/coworkers, how to build your resumé, and various other "fluff". I'm going to try and change the script. Let's focus on confidence, what you can do, what you are good at, and how much pride you take in your work! Cerificates and qualifications are helpful, but that doesn't mean as much as you think it does. Example: you could have the certificates and qualifications of a Master Electrician yet the quality of your work sucks or is downright dubious as best. Drill a hole here, throw a wire there, slap it all together and call it done. Get paid big money. Next job. Whereas a General Handyman, can wire things up, figure out how best to run the wire through the wall, minimal disturbance, clean, neat and might need an Electrician just to confirm the work. Might cost the same but the customer feels better paying you than the Master Electrician. This is the start. Take pride in what you do and do it well.

Back in the day, being a plumber, electrician, or mechanic wasn't seen as glamorous. Today, social media is changing that narrative. Gen Z is using platforms like Instagram and TikTok to highlight #bluecollar careers, making these paths appealing. Having recruited for many years, I've seen the evolution of work culture firsthand. 𝐁𝐥𝐮𝐞-𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐣𝐨𝐛𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞. These roles can be financially rewarding without hefty educational investments. It’s a win for those who value skill and hard work. Happy Monday, LinkedIn! Did anyone else wake up this morning with one eye open and a mug of coffee the size of a bucket? ☕ Same here. Mondays, right? But here’s something that did wake me up—Rightway Recruitment has an awesome opportunity we’re super pumped about! Last week, we sat down with the owner of an Electrical Contracting firm based in East Van. Not gonna lie, this team is killing it right now—they’re officially one of the fastest-growing electrical companies in BC and have big plans to keep climbing. Now, we’re looking to help them grow their crew by adding an #ElectricalForeman to the team. Here’s the scoop on why this should be your next employer: 🔹 Location perks: Projects from Vancouver to Squamish and Whistler (hello, mountain views). 🔹 Work hard, play harder vibe: 5 annual team events, 35+ solid crew members, and they’re based near some of East Van’s best breweries. 🔹 Young blood, big energy: Founded in 2012—they’re fresh, driven, and hungry for growth. 🔹 Cool projects: Think Multifamily, Commercial, EV charging stations, Residential, and a growing service/maintenance team. So, if this sounds like your vibe—or you know someone who’s all about this kind of opportunity—drop me a message! #Electrical #Construction #Vancouver #RedSeal #Electrician #Foreman #Foreperson #Multifamily #Commercial #Residential #EV

"I'm proud that we can offer the services that we do. I work really hard at being a professional and doing the best job I can, so when I walk out that door, our tenant can turn around and say 'I've had the service I deserve, and the service I wanted' - and I'm proud of that." A big thanks to our Lead Electrician, Chris, for talking to us about what it's like to work as an electrician at the Group recently. Chris said: "One of the aspects of this role that I really enjoy, apart from the electrical engineering, is meeting and engaging with different people everyday. You talk to them about where they've been and what they've done. The social contact is fascinating and varied. "As an electrician working in peoples' homes, you do get a different understanding of our tenants and their needs. As well as the electrical support, you can also suggest some of the other things available to them from Progress, and say 'let me see what I can do to help you with that.' So, working in social housing, you get more out of the role than just changing the socket or light fitting. "I'd recommend working for Progress for the hours that suit, the stable wage, the interesting work, the chance to do a great job for people who need the help, and the team comradery. I know, if I need a hand, whether it's an electrical issue, or I need a second opinion, that I can pick up the phone and someone from the team will come and support me. And that's exactly what you need." Thanks Chris! You can watch and/or listen to our full interview with Chris, over on our YouTube channel 😊 https://loom.ly/Cz5Lquw If you've been inspired by Chris' interview and are interested in working for Progress Housing Group, we've got an electrician vacancy available now. You can view this vacancy, and others, on our 'work for us' pages on our website.
