Navigating the world of liquor licensing can be complex, and one key element you might encounter is the Conditional Use Permit (CUP). But what exactly is it, and why is it important for your business? A Conditional Use Permit is a special authorization that allows you to use your property for a purpose not typically permitted under the current zoning laws. For liquor businesses, this often means meeting additional requirements and obtaining approval from local government agencies before you can serve alcohol. 🍷 Understanding the CUP process is crucial for ensuring your business meets all the necessary legal requirements and can operate smoothly. This permit can significantly impact your business setup, so it's essential to be well-informed. Want to learn more about how a Conditional Use Permit might affect your liquor license application? Dive into our latest blog for a detailed explanation and get the insights you need to navigate this important aspect of your business. 👉 Read the latest blog on our website to find out everything you need to know about Conditional Use Permits! https://lnkd.in/eiPx49Rc #ConditionalUsePermit #LiquorLicense #BusinessPermits #CaliforniaBusiness #LiquorLicenseConsulting #BusinessCompliance #AAALiquorLicenses #SmallBusinessTips

Let’s Talk Licensing Trusts and Our Community's Future! To MP Simon Court – can you name one private sector business that would step up and give $9 million back to over 300 Invercargill organisations year after year after year? I’ll wait. 🤔 Invercargill is a unique community of 59,300 people, and we’ve voted twice to keep the Invercargill Licensing Trust (ILT) because we see the value it brings to our town, even if it means opting for a local bottle shop over the supermarket. Your recent bill to abolish our licensing trust “ monopoly “ seems, frankly, out of touch. There is plenty of choice where to spend our hospitality dollar in Invercargill, be it an ILT establishment or not. West Auckland’s situation is not the same as ours, and we deserve the right to make our own decisions about what works for us, without outside interference from someone in the North Island. We already have a system for change if we want it—a petition that allows us to decide, and history has shown we’re standing by the ILT. ILT CEO Chris Ramsay rightly pointed out that this bill disregards the community’s choice and the investment in our community over the decades. Here’s why ILT matters: In the last year alone, $9.1 million has gone directly back into Invercargill, supporting over 300! local organisations, sports teams, NZ representatives, charities, art, education, UNI scholarships, and events making sure the money stays in Invercargill—not sent to corporate boards elsewhere. Let’s keep our regional town strong and let the people decide what’s best for Invercargill. We know what works for us! I support the ILT (Invercargill Licensing Trust) and Chris Ramsay
ACT MP Simon Court has lodged a new member’s bill to abolish the remaining liquor licensing trusts’ alcohol ‘monopoly’ - including the Invercargill Licensing Trust.
MP wants ILT 'monopoly' scrapped; but CEO says he's 'out of touch'
