As some of you know, I’ve moved my family to Thailand to work more closely with Earth Mission bringing healthcare training to remote areas of Burma. This year, we are facing unprecedented humanitarian crises in Burma and Northern Thailand. Recent catastrophic floods, exacerbated by a very active rainy season and two typhoons, have displaced nearly 1 million people and have put immense pressure on our ability to provide much-needed care. Compounding this issue is the ongoing conflict in Burma that has already displaced close to 3 million individuals. Earth Mission is on the front lines, tirelessly working to provide medical care and support to those affected by these events. In light of this pressing situation, I am launching a matching funds campaign with a goal of raising $50,000. Thanks to the generosity of a close group of friends, we are putting up $25,000 to challenge you all to match our contribution. This means that every dollar you donate will be doubled up to $25,000, effectively DOUBLING the impact of your generosity. If we hit the match, that will be $50,000 raised! The dedicated healthcare and engineering staff at Earth Mission demonstrate incredible compassion, often providing life-saving care to all, regardless of their background or affiliation. They embody the spirit of love and community, reminding us of the power of human connection even in the darkest times. However, due to rising costs and logistical challenges caused by the events mentioned, our resources are dwindling. We urgently need your support to ensure that we can continue treating patients at Rain Tree Clinic and on the front lines. Join us in this crucial mission. Your contribution will not only be doubled but will also empower Earth Mission to provide vital care and support to countless individuals who have no other access to care. Together, let's rise to the challenge and blow past our goal! $50,000 would be AMAZING, but what if we could raise $60,000, $75,000 or even $100,000 to bring healthcare to the hidden?!? Every dollar counts, and with your help, we can make a profound difference in the lives of those who need it most. Thank you for your generosity and commitment. Please consider contributing today ➡️ https://bit.ly/4eOtFWP #EarthMission #Burma

Do you run 🏃♀️? Why not #RunforACause? I was moved by the vibrant communities of Ethiopia taking part in the Great Ethiopian Run, Africa’s largest road race in Addis Ababa, with 45,000 participants at 8k ft in elevation! This event transcends mere competition; it fosters a sense of unity and belonging within the community. Ethiopia faces significant challenges, with over 20 million people experiencing food insecurity, 4 million displaced due to conflict, and ongoing disease outbreaks. Events like the Great Ethiopian Run symbolize hope, solidarity, and assistance, showcasing the resilience and determination of the Ethiopian people to persevere despite adversities. Proceeds from the run support various charitable organizations, including: - GOAL Global: Providing essential resources like food, water, shelter, healthcare, and educational initiatives. - UNDP: Backing the FOR HER BUSINESS program to aid women affected by conflicts in the Tigray, Amhara, and Afar regions. - Vision Parents of Blind Children Charity Organization: Creating a sustainable environment for visually impaired children. - Orbis: Working towards eradicating preventable blindness through rural eye care development, surgeries, and community education efforts. Running for a cause goes beyond personal achievement; it embodies a collective effort to uplift and support those in need. Join the movement and make a difference today. #RunforACause 🏃♂️🌍

We are only a few hours away until Giving Tuesday kicks off! Thanks to YOU, we’re bringing clean water, safety, and hope to more communities. With your incredible support, we’ve completed projects that are changing lives: Water Well in South Sudan – Providing clean water to those who previously had none. NCV Rwanda Fence – Protecting vulnerable children with a secure and safe space. Now, we are focusing on two projects: Clean Water for Kitongo – Phase One of a replacement/expansion water plant in Tanzania. The solar-powered pump and pipes ensures ample water from Lake Victoria for the community. (This project is nearly 100% funded by our recent Bucks for Buckaroos event) Safe Dorms for Kahunda, Mainsprings Tanzania – Building safe dormitories for orphaned children. Donor support helps make these dreams a reality. Together, we can do even more. Donate today to create lasting change: https://lnkd.in/ewzqTRZb... Giving Tuesday is December 3rd—let’s continue to make a difference. #Gratitude #GivingTuesday #CleanWater #SafeShelter #HopeForChildren See less

💔 🌨️ Our hearts are heavy as we come to terms with the recent tragedy that has struck our region. The devastation from the natural disaster has impacted many, and we want to extend our deepest sympathies to everyone affected. In this challenging time, our top priority is supporting those in need. We are committed to building a resilient society and implementing measures to prevent future disasters. First and foremost, our thoughts are with our team members who have experienced personal and material losses during this difficult time. While our facilities remain unaffected and our team is safe, with no casualties reported, we want to assure our stakeholders that we are working tirelessly to fulfill our commitments to your projects. Additionally, we are taking proactive steps to care for our community, especially through our team members who have been affected in critical areas. We will identify the evolving needs in their communities and, over the next few weeks, allocate part of our HR and financial resources to provide necessary support. We also want to acknowledge the incredible efforts of multiple organizations and individuals providing hands-on support to those in need. We deeply appreciate the supportive messages we have received from our customers, partners, suppliers, and the entire Curapath community. Together, we will navigate these difficult times, emerging stronger and more united. As you've likely seen in the news, the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul is facing a crisis following days of heavy rainfall. At least 75 people have died, and thousands more have been left with nothing. At Gradient, our ties to Brazil are strong. With a significant portion of our team being Brazilian and some of our remote workers still residing in the country, this disaster hits close to home. Coincidentally, an even larger delegation of the Gradient team happened to be in Brazil for the recent JPR conference. That's why we have set up a GoFundMe page to provide essential aid—food, water, and shelter—to those affected. And while they're in the country, Rod B. Greco and Lucas Alves will work to get this aid to the people who need it most. 👉 If you can spare even a small contribution to support those in dire need, please consider donating via the link below. Every dollar counts and makes a tangible difference in the lives of those impacted. https://gofund.me/97607523 #RiuGrandedoSul #Brazil #Flooding

What do the back of a bus 🚌 and a charity have in common? Well, that’s where Humanity Calling was born! A group of strangers on a humantarian trip to Malawi. None of us knew each other, but we were united by a shared passion to make a difference. Five years later, what started on that bus has grown into something incredible. We are still entirely volunteer run, and looking back on what we have achieved fills me with pride and gratitude. Here’s a glimpse of what we have achieved so far: • 🌍 Established projects in 6 countries • 🚰 Provided clean water to 50,000+ people through tube and solar wells • 👶 Supported 30+ orphans every month for the past 5 years • 🏘️ Built homes through our Model Village initiative • 🍽️ Fed over 100,000 people • 👁️ Restored sight to over 1,000 people • 💼 Set up livelihood projects to empower communities • 🕌 Built 20+ mosques • 📚 Supported education institutions • 🏠 Provided annual support for the UK homeless What makes it even more amazing is that we have done all of this while balancing full-time jobs. With a limited budget, we have relied mostly on word of mouth to raise over £1 million! Alhamdulilah (All praise to God). 🙏 I will be sharing more about our journey and the exciting projects we are working on in the coming months. #Charity #NonProfit #VolunteerWork #GivingBack #SocialImpact #Empowerment #MakingADifference #GlobalProjects #HumanitarianAid

What’s the Difference Between Our Original Initiatives and Partner Initiatives? At ámaxa, we’re committed to creating a meaningful impact, and we do this through a mix of original initiatives and partner initiatives. But what sets them apart? Our Original Initiatives are inspired by the gaps we have found in the nonprofit sector. From mental health education to planting trees around the globe, each initiative is developed from the ground up to reflect our values and address the needs we see in our communities. Our Partner Initiatives arise from collaborations with like-minded nonprofits. We’re approached by or reach out to these organizations, and by joining forces, we amplify each other’s efforts to reach more people in need. Whether it’s working with Gaza Champions to provide urgent aid or collaborating with Nyaka Global to support orphaned children in Uganda, these partnerships allow us to pool resources, share knowledge, and make a greater impact together. At the core of both approaches is a drive to uplift communities, raise awareness, and provide essential resources. We’re proud to lead with our original initiatives and equally honored to partner with organizations who share our vision. 🌍💙 #nonprofit #communitysupport #partnerships #originalprograms #amaxacares #socialimpact

Help us reach our goal to support an additional 25 children and their families in 2025 ✨ We are raising funds to support 𝟮𝟱 𝗶𝗻 '𝟮𝟱 at the #HopeEvent2024 this September, ahead of our trip to Mombasa #Kenya. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗧𝘂𝗱𝗼𝗿, 𝗠𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗮: Nestled on a steep hill, the slums of Tudor suffer from severe living conditions. The lower the shanty homes go, the worse the situation becomes. During downpours, lack of irrigation and poor infrastructure turn the area into a muddy and hazardous environment. The smell from poor waste management lingers in the muggy heat, and the shortage of clean water and poor sanitation leads to major health crises. Malnutrition is rampant, and access to doctors or medication is a rare luxury. Electricity is scarce, contributing to high crime rates, and the visual sight of poverty is overwhelming. Children in these slums rarely go to school due to unaffordable fees. Instead, they start working at young ages to support their families. With a 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝟯𝟬 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀, many children growing up without one or both parents. These kids have little #hope for a better future. 𝗪𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮 𝗻𝘂𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝘆𝗰𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗽𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘁𝘆. 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽: 1️⃣ We are calling for donations of items, services or experiences that can be added as raffle and auction items to raise the funds we need. 2️⃣ Attend the event, spreading #hope and helping us fundraise through raffles and auctions. 3️⃣ Sign up to sponsor a child in 2025, providing education, mattresses, bedding, clean drinking water and monthly food for the entire family. You can help us bring hope for brighter futures, less-hungry stomachs, more enriched minds, and warmer beds - one child, one family, and one community at a time.
