As some of you know, I’ve moved my family to Thailand to work more closely with Earth Mission bringing healthcare training to remote areas of Burma. This year, we are facing unprecedented humanitarian crises in Burma and Northern Thailand. Recent catastrophic floods, exacerbated by a very active rainy season and two typhoons, have displaced nearly 1 million people and have put immense pressure on our ability to provide much-needed care. Compounding this issue is the ongoing conflict in Burma that has already displaced close to 3 million individuals. Earth Mission is on the front lines, tirelessly working to provide medical care and support to those affected by these events. In light of this pressing situation, I am launching a matching funds campaign with a goal of raising $50,000. Thanks to the generosity of a close group of friends, we are putting up $25,000 to challenge you all to match our contribution. This means that every dollar you donate will be doubled up to $25,000, effectively DOUBLING the impact of your generosity. If we hit the match, that will be $50,000 raised! The dedicated healthcare and engineering staff at Earth Mission demonstrate incredible compassion, often providing life-saving care to all, regardless of their background or affiliation. They embody the spirit of love and community, reminding us of the power of human connection even in the darkest times. However, due to rising costs and logistical challenges caused by the events mentioned, our resources are dwindling. We urgently need your support to ensure that we can continue treating patients at Rain Tree Clinic and on the front lines. Join us in this crucial mission. Your contribution will not only be doubled but will also empower Earth Mission to provide vital care and support to countless individuals who have no other access to care. Together, let's rise to the challenge and blow past our goal! $50,000 would be AMAZING, but what if we could raise $60,000, $75,000 or even $100,000 to bring healthcare to the hidden?!? Every dollar counts, and with your help, we can make a profound difference in the lives of those who need it most. Thank you for your generosity and commitment. Please consider contributing today ➡️ https://bit.ly/4eOtFWP #EarthMission #Burma

We are only a few hours away until Giving Tuesday kicks off! Thanks to YOU, we’re bringing clean water, safety, and hope to more communities. With your incredible support, we’ve completed projects that are changing lives: Water Well in South Sudan – Providing clean water to those who previously had none. NCV Rwanda Fence – Protecting vulnerable children with a secure and safe space. Now, we are focusing on two projects: Clean Water for Kitongo – Phase One of a replacement/expansion water plant in Tanzania. The solar-powered pump and pipes ensures ample water from Lake Victoria for the community. (This project is nearly 100% funded by our recent Bucks for Buckaroos event) Safe Dorms for Kahunda, Mainsprings Tanzania – Building safe dormitories for orphaned children. Donor support helps make these dreams a reality. Together, we can do even more. Donate today to create lasting change: https://lnkd.in/ewzqTRZb... Do you run 🏃♀️? Why not #RunforACause? I was moved by the vibrant communities of Ethiopia taking part in the Great Ethiopian Run, Africa’s largest road race in Addis Ababa, with 45,000 participants at 8k ft in elevation! This event transcends mere competition; it fosters a sense of unity and belonging within the community. Ethiopia faces significant challenges, with over 20 million people experiencing food insecurity, 4 million displaced due to conflict, and ongoing disease outbreaks. Events like the Great Ethiopian Run symbolize hope, solidarity, and assistance, showcasing the resilience and determination of the Ethiopian people to persevere despite adversities. Proceeds from the run support various charitable organizations, including: - GOAL Global: Providing essential resources like food, water, shelter, healthcare, and educational initiatives. - UNDP: Backing the FOR HER BUSINESS program to aid women affected by conflicts in the Tigray, Amhara, and Afar regions. - Vision Parents of Blind Children Charity Organization: Creating a sustainable environment for visually impaired children. - Orbis: Working towards eradicating preventable blindness through rural eye care development, surgeries, and community education efforts. Running for a cause goes beyond personal achievement; it embodies a collective effort to uplift and support those in need. Join the movement and make a difference today. #RunforACause 🏃♂️🌍

As you've likely seen in the news, the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul is facing a crisis following days of heavy rainfall. At least 75 people have died, and thousands more have been left with nothing. At Gradient, our ties to Brazil are strong. With a significant portion of our team being Brazilian and some of our remote workers still residing in the country, this disaster hits close to home. Coincidentally, an even larger delegation of the Gradient team happened to be in Brazil for the recent JPR conference. That's why we have set up a GoFundMe page to provide essential aid—food, water, and shelter—to those affected. And while they're in the country, Rod B. Greco and Lucas Alves will work to get this aid to the people who need it most. 👉 If you can spare even a small contribution to support those in dire need, please consider donating via the link below. Every dollar counts and makes a tangible difference in the lives of those impacted. https://gofund.me/97607523 #RiuGrandedoSul #Brazil #Flooding

There are few moments where philanthropy is more warranted than a time of crisis. From natural disasters and humanitarian crises to public health emergencies and economic downturns, crises can quickly render whole demographics vulnerable and desperate for various forms of aid. Crisis philanthropy, therefore, stands as one of the most impactful forms of charitable action. Such initiatives strive for targeted, multifaceted philanthropy to lift up affected communities, instill a sense of normalcy and stability, and bolster recovery efforts for a brighter tomorrow. https://lnkd.in/eRPHqHqQ #crisisphilanthropy #philanthropy

DID YOU KNOW THAT 703 MILLION PEOPLE IN SUB-SAHARAN AFRICA LACK ACCESS TO CLEAN DRINKING WATER? Sadly, over 1,000 children die each day from drinking dirty water. Now, what if I told you that it only costs $475 to install a well to provide clean drinking water to an ENTIRE VILLAGE? Grant Arends, co-Founder and Financial Consultant at intellicents*, wants to make this a reality. During a moving and informative presentation at #SWAYLIVE24, he shared his volunteer work with the Marion Medical Mission (MMM). The Mission has done the impossible by installing water solutions for the poorest communities in Malawi, Tanzania, Zambia, and Mozambique, to locally manufacture, staff, install, and maintain each well. Grant travels to Africa annually to help local MMM team members install thousands of wells. Since inception, MMM has installed over 55,000 wells, impacting over 5.5 million people. HERE'S HOW WE CAN ALL HELP: In an industry-wide effort, #SWAYLIVE is launching #WellDone, a movement to help MMM fund the 2024 goal of 4,500 new wells providing an estimated 270,000 CHILDREN with clean drinking water. What is so amazing is that for each well funded, your donation receipt includes a picture of “your” well pumping clean water for the very first time. You will be able to tangibly see the impact you have made in changing the lives of that village forever. And what is super cool is that you can donate your well in honor of anyone! For example, as a part of Grant’s presentation to #SWAYLIVE in August, he personally funded a well in “our” honor as a thank you to Sheri Fitts for allowing him to share his story that I promise impacted every single one of the attendees. As the holidays approach, why not give the gift of clean water in honor of your partner, children, grandchildren, co-workers, etc.? Grant has found that giving these types of gifts to others is so much more impactful v. the traditional “stuff” we tend to give each year. If you want to learn more about Grant’s African adventures, follow him on LinkedIn or stalk his posts from last year’s trip. To learn more about the work of MMM, please visit their website at www.mmmwater.org Three suggested donation levels are listed below. Corporate donations in larger amounts are also greatly appreciated: Stream $100 Flow $475 (one well) Flood $4,750 (10 wells) “Water” you waiting for? To donate, simply go to their website at www.mmmwater.org and choose the Grant Arends 2024 Water Campaign from the drop-down menu. Or message Grant privately and he will be glad to connect with you to share more about the organization. I purchased my well today in memory of my dear college friend, Phil Mistarz. Elizabeth Mistarz, we all love and miss Phil so much. Let’s all work together as an industry to do good. Thank you for your consideration. * Investment advisory services offered through intellicents investment solutions, inc., an SEC registered investment adviser.
