Saturday Morning Learnings… Sell that Property or Business at the Opportune Time Even if it Hurts Your Heart! I recently sold my 2nd apartment in Miami Beach and, while I was actively participating in it’s sale because it absolutely made financial sense to maximize the profit at the right time, and due to unpredictable high interest rates etc… The night the closing of the sale was over, instead of feeling joy or relief, I felt empty. I kept remembering the time my Mom, my son and I holidayed there: the beautiful sunsets, morning coffees on the balconies on the bay, the clear water, canoe boats, and shimmering night lights across the bay, late nights, calming summer breeze. And, I kept wondering after the sale, “How could I have made it even more Financially Profitable?” I couldn’t. And it had nothing to do with my abilities or efforts. It was just unforeseen circumstances. Sometimes, you have to let go of a business or property you love, if the financial model of it doesn’t love you back. Especially when it’s not about you. So, I dust off, and learn from my experience and move on to the next! But like a game of Monopoly, I keep wondering, what if...???
