Tell your talents to take advantage of TikTok's long-form posting. With over 550k views on his first post, it is clear TikTok wants to push these types of videos as much as possible. The comments were all positive as well, "I didn't realize this was even 10 minutes. This was the best and longest video I've seen on this app. More videos like this. etc etc" Long term, I think there is a place for longer content on TikTok, but they will need a separate tab for people who are interested in just long or short form. Has anyone else experimented with the new 60 minute upload feature? If so, what has been your experience with it so far?

📌Instagram's Got A Rival: TikTok Notes Another "new" app to get acquainted with.....😒 Earlier today, the short-form video app, TikTok launched testing of its latest feature app called Tiktok Notes- a platform for people to share images with text. A bit basic, yes? So far, it looks like an older version of Meta's Instagram 😬...except it’ll allow you to post a headline for the photo as well as a caption with no need for a second sign up if you're already a Tiktok user. This takes me back to the Reels as Instagram's response to TikTok's short video market boom back in 2020. Now TikTok's moving into Instagram's territory 😂. With Instagram sitting at nearly 2.4 billion global users while TikTok has around 2 billion users this could easily be a strategy to close the narrow user gap between the two. This launch also comes amid investigations over (TikTok's parent company) ByteDance's data practices in the US. In its rollout, TikTok Notes will only be available to users in Australia and Canada for limited testing, so we won't get to explore the app just yet. Do we need really another app 😒? What gaps do you think Notes would fill in photo content? Or is this just another move whose hype will wash down like Threads (someone had to say it🤐)? Social media enthusiasts, let me know in the comments! #socialmedia #tiktok #socialmediamarketing #instagtam

TikTok to launch “Tik Tok Notes” as Instagram's newest rival TikTok Notes is now being rolled out to selected Android and iOS users for download and limited testing in Australia and Canada! TikTok Notes, a free photo-sharing app by TikTok, offers a fresh way to express yourself through photos and captions. Users can easily log in and share their moments with their followers. Earlier this month, TikTok announced the launch of TikTok Notes via a notification to users, sparking anticipation among content creators. While details were initially limited, it's clear that TikTok Notes will provide a central hub for users to share their visual stories and connect with their audience. The introduction of TikTok Notes seems to be a natural progression from the slideshow feature that TikTok introduced earlier. This feature likely served as a testing ground for functionalities related to content creation and organization, paving the way for the more comprehensive capabilities of TikTok Notes. With growing frustration among Instagram creators about the reach of their feed posts, could TikTok Notes emerge as a viable alternative? As Instagram users voice concerns about dwindling post reach, TikTok Notes offers a glimmer of hope. Do you think TikTok Notes might it address the frustrations faced by Instagram creators? . . #TikTokNotes #ContentCreators #MarketingStrategy #DigitalCreativity #Productivity #TikTok

TikTok is making headlines — again. Last week, 13 states and D.C. sued the short-form video app for allegedly harming young users’ mental health with its addictive design. Earlier this year, President Biden signed legislation that could force TikTok’s Chinese parent company, ByteDance, to sell the platform to a U.S. owner — or be banned. While TikTok has transformed into a major search engine and digital town square for over a hundred million users, its future remains uncertain. If ByteDance is forced to sell, TikTok could potentially lose its signature algorithm, which is key to its unique user experience and massive popularity. Whether TikTok will be banned or undergo major changes remains to be seen. One thing, however, is clear: no matter the outcome, brands must diversify their marketing strategies now to stay resilient in a rapidly shifting digital world. #TrendingThursday

Tiktok could shut down next year!. With the way Tiktok has established itself in the minds and phones of many individuals, it's impossible to picture the app no longer existing. But history shows that it happened once(if you know of Vine app) and experience says it can happen again. This is not about Tiktok but your brand. You have built your personal brand up to its glory days---you are the Tiktok of your niche. You feel almost untouchable, unshakable and undethronable. In 2013,Vine probably felt that way too but today you barely recall that name. Why? They shut down in the face of competition. The question is: When faced with fierce competition, what will you do. Shut down or restrategise?. Here's what to do: 📌Stay calm 📌 Survey the changes in the market 📌 Edit your USP to fit the current market 📌 Find out your audience new desires 📌 Position your services as the bridge they need. 📌 Communicate the solutions you have for them clearly through content. Miscommunicated content will bring opposite results that could hurt your brand more. Avoid such situations by sending me a DM with the word "content". Let me help you write content that talks to your audience.📌 TL,DR: I can't forsee the future,so I can't assure you Tiktok will shut down anytime soon. The app is doing amazingly well. P.S: Do you know the Vine app? PP.S.: Tiktok or Instagram?. #Tiktok #instagram #content

TikTok could be leaving America… what do we know? The app has just over 250 days to sell the app to a company not controlled by a “foreign adversary” otherwise it will be banned from the US. I won’t get into the argument of why the US doesn’t want the app to be controlled by its current owners as I am not well versed enough for any controversy that may come of that. The idea is that you wouldn’t have legal action taken against you if the ban comes into play but features of the app would slowly stop working until it is essentially useless and you delete it. Will Instagram take their time in the video spotlight and bring out new features and monopolise the industry? Only time will tell, there are definitely some big changes ahead! #techmarketing #digitalmarketing #content

Instagram is increasing the frame limit within carousel posts from 10 to 15 so you can now see 5 more photos of your friends avocado on toast (currently being used by a number of chosen creators) TikTok is testing a new photos app to rival Zucks. This doesn’t come as a huge surprise as it’s been pushing people to post more photos. Great, more photos of your mates avocado on toast but on a different platform. Why are they doing it? TikTok is facing a ban again and getting it out now means they can test the waters with it before they get canned. Bytedance (owners of TkTok) have been experimenting with new apps (take Lemon8) but with a clear eCommerce angle. With Instagram dominating this market it will be interesting to see how TikTok holds up. Now get back to work... 👾 #gingernutscreative #socialmediamarketing #socialmedianews #instagramupdate #instatok #avocadoontoast

This time feels different for TikTok. And other apps too. The House overwhelmingly passed Bill H.R.7521. President Biden said he would sign it. So, it’s up to the Senate. Chinese control of TikTok is still a very big deal. Imagine if CNN, Fox News or MSNBC were owned by a Chinese company. We’d probably be having the same discussion. I really hope TikTok doesn’t get shut down – but there are things it needs to change, including the parts designed to lure in young kids, the algorithm that amplifies addiction and heartbreak, and the widespread toxicity. Notably this bill is NOT just about TikTok. It applies to any app found to “present a significant threat to national security” by the President. CapCut, Lemon8 (and the rumored TikTok Photos app) are all assuredly on the chopping block. But what about other Chinese built apps. Are Weibo and WeChat a threat to national security? Probably. Shein and Temu? Probably not. What about the buzzy ReelShort app? Perhaps. Oddly, it excludes any “application that is primarily used to post product reviews, business reviews, or travel information and reviews”. We need only look to India to get a sense of what will happen if TikTok gets banned. Although a variety of home-grown apps tried to fill the void, Instagram and YouTube were the big beneficiaries. That’s the most likely outcome here. Both Shorts and Reels offer a similar short-form experience, and most substantive creators are already cross-posting to those platforms. It won’t be the end of the world. But a ban would dramatically increase eyeballs on Shorts and Reels. That gives new creators a big opportunity to build community – or grow their existing base -- as attention shifts. Some creators will wither, others will prosper. And brands and businesses will adapt. And maybe we won’t see as many crappy home-shopping videos this time around. If the bill passes, what other apps do you think will get banned? And which ones are safe? 👇 #LITrendingTopics #TikTok #ban
